Minky Homecare SmartFit Reflector Ironing Board Cover, 49" x 18", White Multi

Love how big it is! I have one of those big old school ironing boards that it's hard to find a cover to fit. Well this one fits the board and the old cover underneath. The circle pattern isn't as big as they appear on here which is great. So far so good.

My ironing board is 25 years old. It's longer and wider than the boards sold today. This cover is a great fit both for length and width. It's not very thick, but I placed it over my current cover so it's got enough thickness for me.

Awful product - the dots burn with the heat of the iron and stain your clothes. Could not even use once. This approaches a scam. The manufacturer had to have tested the product and must know it is highly defective.

I purchased this because my ironing board has a very thin pad. This resulted in waffle-like marks on my clothes when using my steam button. As a child, my mother used to use felted material to place under her ironing board cover's pad in addition to the original pad, so I decided to look for something similar.I am glad that I purchased this product. It was a good size: (About 3/4 sized for an average, cheapie ironing board.) It was thick and easy to put under my 'top' fabric. I kept my original 'pad' which came with the board and just put this new product on top of it.I would buy this again as well as recommend it to others.

caution - product description indicates fits standard sized ironing boards which may be the case in the UK (don't know the standard size of ironing boards bought in the UK) but, amazon also has another MINKY smart fit ironing board cover that is slightly larger than this product - my ironing board is a basic standard US made ironing board and this ironing board cover was too small to fit my ironing board - top measurement for length on this product is 49" and that would be pulling with great amount of strength - the other ironing board cover made by Minky that is a smart fit also measures for ironing boards up to 54 inches (my standard US purchased ironing board measures 52 inches). There is also a "supersize" model for the larger ironing boards. Product seems extremely well made and a huge improvement on the "tie or clip covers" sold in most stores in the US. I was impressed enough with the quality of the product I ordered the slightly larger minky smart fit when I discovered this item was too small for my ironing board. Obviously, I haven't put the product to the test but factors that I liked about this product versus covers I have previously purchased in stores are:1. this cover is significantly thicker than the thin covers sold in most US stores2. there is no thin form that has to be put on the board before the cover is put on - this one is all in one with more of thick quilt type feel so the extra thin foam isn't needed - which is a big plus for this reviewer - maybe just me but, seems like the thin foam layer always is slipping out from under the thin cover.If you measure before you order ( I didn't as product description indicates "fits all standard ironing boards") I believe it will be a purchase that will serve well.

I have a huge ironing board set up, because I sew. Its one of those Italian boards, and I could not find a cover that fit, until now.This one fits and it does not cost a fortune. However, you will need some really strong cords to purchase separately to pull it tight, otherwise it is lumpy. Really, really lumpy. I do have wool pads under mine--I don't know if that is why, its so lumpy, you would think it would make it more smooth..but I need them in there to steam the fabrics properly, so they are staying on.I paid $7 for it here. Its $15 or 16 at Home Depot. Same exact one.

I have an oversized ironing board. I was excited to find this cover as the original was utter crap and made it through only a few uses.Anyhow - this definitely "fits" the board, but not well. It's loose and moves around on the board constantly. I am going to have to return it or buy clips to hold it in place. Meh.

I was annoyed with my ironing board because I could feel the metal grid thru my iron board cover. After researching what was out there in ironing boards, I thought I would try putting a felt pad under the cover before spending $100 on a new board. I'm glad I did. It was easy to cut the pad to size and put the cover back on. Now I have just the right amount of padding.

I bought this as it was described as 145 x 54cm . However that size includes the over the edge measurement. Actual board size is 140cm by the time it is hooked over the board. I assumed it was the measurement of the top of the board, not the sides as well. So it is 5cm too short and doesn't fit my board. It was fairly padded and would have been nice. except is is useless. So If your board is 140 x 49 then its a great cover. I am really disappointed. Total waste of money, and misleading sizing

Although this was one of the cheaper covers available, it seems a good quality product. We have a large ironing board, 145 cm long by 46 cm wide, and bought the 154 x 54 cm size cover, which just fitted at the widest point (the board is about 2 cm thick and I left the old cover in place for extra padding). The elastic works well, and it took less than a minute to fit. For extra security we got some 'Ironing Board Cover Fastners' (separate review) as cross straps under the board. Have not used it enough to comment on durability, but it seems strong, and I was impressed by (a) UK manufacture (b) Minky are suppliers or ironing board covers to to HMQ :).

I have been wanting to buy a new cover for ages, I have a larger than standard board and was worried about ordering one that didn't fit right.The minky one just arrived and we really did fit it quickly, the elastic is super tight, so it does fit quite well and there is still lots of room for a larger board.I need to do the hot steam iron before i use it but my initial reaction is that it is a good product and at a reasonable price. It also feels nice and thick.

Bought for my in-laws, as a replacement for a worn cover. The new cover was easy to fit and fitted like a glove.

I purchased this minky smartfit felt pad because my iron board was quite uneven, making ironing a huge pain.Now this felt pad changed the game. It made the board really smooth and even, making me super happy, as I do enjoy ironing clothes.My ironing board is a regular sized one but I didn't have to cut to shape the felt pad, the iron board cover hides the extra. I'm glad I went for it ;)
