Works really nicely
I wasn't sure about this product not hearing about the brand before now. I have been exporing the path of self care since last year and slowly add to my skincare and bodycare routine as I go. This was one that took me by surprise. I was a little leary in using it one because its a 8 seconds hair mask and two because it had to be applied to towel dried hair. I like products I can use in the shower even if I have to let it soak in as I go about my other routines. Thou I said I want something hydating for my hair I gave it a go and just rung my hair really good and patted it a little dry with my towel then applied and I did follow the directions to the best of my ability. I will say the results were nice nothing super surprising but we are talking 8 seconds here but same results as a mask I would have left on for longer. That is where it got me this is something you can do in a rush which I think for anyone is the kicker here. So it has been something I will have to say took me by a nice surprise.

So much potential...But Disappointing and MISLEADING Label
This seemed to be very similar to the Loreal 8 Second Wonder Water which, at the price, you really can't beat (~$9 for a 7oz bottle) but I was curious to try another brand. I have medium length, color treated, wavy, fine hair that is very prone to tangles until I straighten it.Although it says to towel dry hair then rinse, I figured just doing it in the shower and wringing the excess water from my hair would be sufficient. No need to make this harder than it should be!The good:- Left my hair soft and manageable- Did not seem to leave any sort of residue and rinsed out easilyThe bad:- Contrary to what the label states that it contains NO SILICONES, it actually does. Interestingly I'm having trouble even finding a printed list of the ingredients online but PEG-12 Dimethicone is definitely a silicone. While it's a water soluble one so less bad, I'd still rather avoid them. Bottom line: the label is wrong that it doesn't contain silicones which is downright misleading and inaccurate.- The applicator is absolutely terrible and was a huge pain to open on the first use.- Doesn't really "foam" like the directions said it would. It turned ever so slight white and sudsy but not anything dramatic. This is also similar to the Loreal product. Not a con necessarily but the directions made it sound like there would be a lot more foaming action.- Really, really expensive for the amount of product you get- Consistency is like water so getting even coverage is really difficult. I have medium length hair and probably used at least 1/3 of the bottle. Ouch.- There is something in it that feels either like tea tree oil or menthol- not sure if it's from the fragrance but the skin on my shoulders that my hair was touching (briefly) had a strange cooling sensation that was really...weird. I was not expecting that at all.Overall: I don't think this is worth the price. If you're curious about quick masks and such and something very similar to this for a fraction of the cost, give the Loreal Wonder Water a try. That actually does NOT contain silicones and is color safe and all that other good stuff. It's also 1/3 the price for nearly twice the size. Also of note, the Sutra Miracle Mask is made in China.I think these types of products are always worth a try as that's how you may find your next holy grail! Unfortunately, I don't recommend this one given some of the others that are out on the market.

Disappointing; left hair a tangled mess
I had high expectations for this product because I love 9 zero Water and how silky it leaves my hair; this sounded similar (8 second miracle), and it sounded like it would yield the results I seek for my dry, somewhat damaged, naturally curly/wavy hair--namely taking out all of the tangles and making it feel silky. I shampooed with my usual (Matrix Unbreak my Blonde) and towel dried per the directions. Then, I applied this and massaged it for 8 seconds. According to the directions, it's clear and thin, but would foam up on contact with the water in my hair. However, it really didn't "foam" up--it did get a bit of suds, but only after I applied a bit more water to my hair (at first, nothing really happened at all). I could feel the peppermint oil, which was nice because it didn't cause me to itch (which peppermint oil sometimes does) and made my scalp feel clean. It felt good and smelled good. I massaged it for 8 seconds and then rinsed. When I use the other product, it feels thicker when I apply water to my hair for the rinse, and my hair feels like absolute silk after I rinse it out--I can run my fingers (and/or comb) through with nary a snarl or tangle in sight. That was not the case with this product. I had a bunch of snarls and tangles (way more than with just my usual conditioner, nonetheless a mask), and I had to work the comb through my hair VERY slowly, from the bottom up (and I still lost a LOT of hair to the comb compared to my usual experience). I thought maybe my hair would feel better once it dried, but it did not. I made the mistake of not applying a leave-in because I wanted to experience the product on its own, and my hair was not in good shape. I ended up having to hop back in the shower, condition, and apply a leave-in to get back to where I was before I used this. This didn't damage my hair, and I like the peppermint; I also assume maybe it just didn't work for my texture, so I gave it 3 stars. Maybe, if your hair is already fantastic, this is a great product. However, if you're looking for a Miracle Mask, this isn't it (at least for me). The product is okay, but I was really disappointed considering the claims made in the description. I wouldn't order this again.

Softens Hair; Feels Strong on Skin
Okay: SUTRA 8 Second Miracle Mask DOES soften my hair, but it's kind of impossible to massage all of it into my hair hurriedly and then wait eight seconds. By the time I gotten the ends of my hair coated, at least ten seconds have gone by. I realize that times can be elastic with some products, but EIGHT SECONDS seems so precise!Anyway, I did my best. I tried to quickly massage as much product as I could into the ends of my hair, then quickly massage more into the mid-lengths and some on the crown, just to make sure all of my tresses would be equally revitalized. The liquid emulsifies on contact, and gets thicker, turning into foam. However: this product must contain a type of essential oil that might irritate skin, because I noticed menthol or peppermint on my skin. While I don't react to those products, someone else might. There was a cool sensation on my scalp, and on a few places where it hit my skin near my eyes, which did NOT feel spectacular. I quickly rinsed it off.SUTRA works; my hair was exceptionally soft after I rinsed this out (I mean, I didn't have to wait. Basically the second I finished the top of my hair, I started rinsing the ends). It left my hair soft and silky. But it also contains some ingredients that may cause issues for some consumers. I imagine they are harmless, but even harmless materials can cause reactions. This is an easy hair mask for anyone in a rush; it's a lifesaver for anyone who wants a great pick-me-up for the hair, but doesn't have a lot of time.

Oily , Then Dry
I gave this miracle a few chances , just in case I made err.The liquid is thin, clear, somewhat oily. I placed on my hair - damp hair, towel dried, even wet...each times the product did not come to the point of turning white. But I massaged away as directed after leaving on for 8-10 seconds .No white. The formula has a border on burning sensation to scalp, and skin , wherever it touches. An over abundance of mint and herbals. The 1st use, my hair felt very oily but stiff after rinsing, and my hair dry after air drying - and dry for a good couple of days after use. I had to condition very well those days.2nd and 3rd time using, a bit better performance, but not much. Rinsed cleaner, seemed less oilyand hair softer and sleeker, but decidedly very dry upon air drying that I needed to have furthuruse of leave in conditioning and oils. For days after, only cowashing, conditioning, and deep conditioning, and protective leave ins , bonds, and oils.I have curly, on the dry side hair that is porous. I am not pleased that I had to try to recover myhair, and very possible harm after using this product. My hair is in need of colour treatment, and I do not dare at this time until my hair is back to manageable, thoroughly tophydrated and no damage condition. No more chances.
