Q: Does it make your mouth numb or help promote healing ?

This rinse is deliberate mild due to the oral sensitivity that many patients experience so there is little numbing effect. It does, however, have high concentrations of Glycerin which serves as a demulcent to coat the mouth and therefore provide relief from mouth sores. As for healing it also have low concentrations of hydrogen peroxide for gentle cleansing or debriding of mouth sores as well as ingredients that can help manage tissue inflammation.

Q: Which is the better mouth wash or what is difference in orange bottle & purple bottle?

The difference is the orange label (Oncology) is formulated for Oncology patients who are going or have gone through chemo or radiation treatments. It contains more glycerin. The purple label (Mouth Sore) is to help reduce the risk of infection caused by dentures, dental procedures, orthodontic appliances, accidental injury. It contains more hydrogen peroxide.
