Amazing hammer, if a bit on the heavy side for me.
The ergonomics of this hammer are incredibly spot on. The handle design is the best I've ever come across; the handle is extremely comfortable and grippy with or without gloves, and I absolutely love the double swell shape. The swell in the middle makes choking up on the handle feel 100% natural, meaning you have no increase in grip fatigue even if you are doing something where you need a shorter swing or more control. At the same time, the long length gives you excellent power for something less precise like framing. Also, the nail setter work like a dream. No slips, magnet strength is perfect, both 8p and 16p nails set perfect pretty much every time for me. Great penetration depth so you can swing hard on the second strike without worry, and I was able to accurately place them within an 1/8" of my target while roofing. Of course you have to adjust to using it, but that's not hard. Most nail setters I have used are mediocre, I only use them for setting nails out of reach of my hands. But I started using the setter on every single nail after the first few with the Fiskars. No more smashed fingers when trying to set through hard spots or OSB!The only thing I would like to see is a lighter head version of this hammer, as I like higher striking speeds because they exhaust you less. Though that is personal preference, higher speeds require you to be more precise. And I can see how a lighter head with a good balance has its challenges, strength requirements mean maintaining a perfect balance gets difficult with steel with a head below 20oz. Which is why the really amazing hammers use titanium, and thus are super expensive.Oh, and the clear coat on the paint it a bit weak. So far I haven't had any nicks through the black, but there was tons of damage to the clear after a days worth of roofing. But eh, whatever, I buy my tools for their functionality. Though I do have to say the design of this one is particularly pretty for a hammer. Never thought I would think a hammer is pretty...All in all, this thing is totally superb, better than any hammer I have come across in its price range.

awesome
solid well-made hammer, very well balanced and easy to hold and swing all day. The low vibration does work, and you can use all day with little stress on the hand and arm. The nail holder / magnet works very well - just a great hammer at a great price - highly recommend to trades people and homeowners

What is to be said. It is a hammer. It appears it will be a good one that will last a while.

Great Hammer!!!
Nice heavy weight framing hammer. Good for any medium to large projects. Will drive any nail easily, but you will need some strength to hold on to it for long term use.

Unmatched value, and I've been looking for decades.
I bought this hammer to replace a 12 oz Dewalt finish and a 21 oz Hart waffle framer. I've been looking at it for around 6 years I just didn't really need it. The handle on my Hart finally wore out so I had a great excuse. Other reviews speaking of head scratches make no sense to me. I don't know what they were hitting because I've put this hammer through hell and it is still 100% clean for very fine finish work. I went from using this hammer to beat away an obtrusive concrete footing to installing the kicks of the stairs that I then used the same hammer to plug the screws of. Plugging white PVC requires a perfect hammerhead, most guys will throw blue tape on, this bad larry doesn't even need it. PVC plugs are a huge reason I bought this hammer, I was getting too strong for my 12 oz Dewalt but I had to go find it for plugs because my Hart had a waffle face. The vibration reduction is amazing and the handle is the perfect grip and curve for me. There are two reasons for the 4 stars. The Dewalt and the Hart are weighted evenly like hammers should be, this fiskars has a cheaper homeowner brand top heavy head weight to it that I'm not the biggest fan. I rapidly accepted it given this hammers feel in all other aspects. The other reason is that on the handle,.where the web of your hand meets the handle, I can see this being a problematic area over time. The rubber is below the plastic where it creates almost an edge, and will absolutely create an edge with more use and rubber worn down. My hands are average male carpenter size hands so they're right below this, but someone with slightly larger hands may dislike this because you could possibly get a blister in your webbing area if you're swinging all day, but if you're swinging all day you're probably not getting blisters in your webbing anymore. I know it's a ridiculously long review but I hope some other tool addict like myself sees this after sleeping on this hammer for 6 years and just buys it. Won't be disappointed. I also wholeheartedly recommend the Dewalt 12 oz for younger guys starting out and the Hart for any and all framers. Absolutely love those hammers. I could break one of each of these hammers every 6 months and I would not have a problem shelling out another $100 to replace all 3.

Just buy it.
Having done my share of framing, I always used only an ash handle 22 oz milled face Hart hammer with a straight handle. Every other kind of hammer handle just hurt my elbow. I know a lot of guys use a curved ax handled hammer. It’s a personal choice but wood straight handle 22 oz was my choice. I read the reviews and decided after breaking the handle on my old friend I didn’t want to spend 100$ and now that I don’t do much framing, try this hammer. Wow, it’s been great. I’m not sure what they did, but this hammer works and doesn’t hurt my arm after swinging it all day. I also like the price. I liked it so much I also bought their 20 oz flat face hammer for more delicate work where milled face might spoil the trim appearance. The handle is very comfortable, it feels good in use, and does not slip out of the hand. Most importantly no vibration into the arm causing elbow pain. This hammer is a bargain at twice the price. Just buy it.
