This is a wonderful knife both in form and function!
I have been pondering making a Civivi knife my very own for quite some time now. There are so many styles/models that I really liked it has kept me somewhat hesitant to pick one. I finally settled on the Dogma in copper because it has the functionality I wanted and the copper finish seemed both traditional and unique at the same time. I hope that through the years this knife will develop its own worn in patina and well used look that is so appealing with copper. The D2 steel is a good semi stainless blade steel that should achieve and keep a good edge for a while. The knife is heavy when compared to similar knives of the same size despite the skeletonized inner frame but I knew that was going to be the case when ordering it in copper. It’s not unduly heavy in fact it gives you an accurate feel of quality and solid build that will likely encourage you to use this knife without worrying about it being too delicate, make no mistake this knife was built for regular use, not to set on a shelf and display, though it’s gorgeous enough to do just that if that’s your thing. I’ve heard that the action of these Civivi flipper’s is fast and smooth so I was very pleased that mine exhibits those exact characteristics in spades. The addition of jimping on the top of the flipper tab is a nice touch to allow you to get a solid grip. My Dogma has the blade perfectly centered, with no play side to side when open or closed and has a silky-smooth action when in motion, it is a fine example of the quality standards and quality control they’re employing at the assembly plant and I believe this is how you establish a solid reputation. The deep pocket clip is reversable to accommodate carry in either front pocket for the user’s convenience. The edge is evenly ground and very sharp out of the package no extra attention needed, this blade edge is ready to get to work. When this knife arrived and I opened the box only to find a padded zippered nylon pouch inside I thought that was a nice touch. Then I opened the zippered pouch and there was my knife along with a microfiber cleaning cloth, it again was very satisfying, kinda makes it feel like this is a boutique brand despite it being a main stream “new kid on the block”, well done Civivi. At this point I can’t speak to the durability as I haven’t owned it long enough to form a good opinion, though I really don’t see there being issues. If any do develop, I will come back and address them here.

Another great Civivi!
As an avid knife collector, I now own 7 Civivi knives. As far as "flipper" style knives go I have found Civivi's to be the among the best on the market. They "flip" open with authority and are comparable, in speed, to many automatic knives. As for this knife, it is much more attractive, in hand, than the pictures depict. It is also noticeably heavier than your typical Civivi due to its copper handle. In all, a great addition to my collection.

Beautiful but heavy
Let me first say that I knew this would be a heavier folder than many of my others, so I'm not knocking it for it's heaviness. But you should know that it is heavy and the 1.5-2 oz extra makes a big difference. As for the rest of the knife, it is a beautiful piece. The copper is a great touch and set against the black looks awesome! Blade comes very sharp and the blade shape makes this knife distinct as well. Grip feels good but I'm contemplating removing the clip seeing as I won't be carrying this every day. Flipper not quite as responsive as my other civivi knives but it's still very smooth. Lock up is solid and blade is centered. I recommend this as one to add to the collection but maybe not as your EDC.

Great Knife!
This is my second Civivi and I have to say, this thing is absolutely gorgeous! The fit and finish is pretty much perfect and the blade is dead center.Usually when I get a new knife, I spend a few minutes touching up the blade so it's up to my standards and I have to say, this knife is sharper out of the box than I could ever get it.Since it's brass, it's a tad bit on the heavy side, but not so heavy that it won't get any pocket time. The blade is relatively thin, so it's not really a heavy user, which is fine.I highly recommend this knife. For the money, it stacks up against a lot of knives twice the price.

Excellent pocket knife
Well I have carried many knives, 110 Buck has been my all time favorite until the clip knives, then mostly carried a Buck vantage. I have 30 plus knives. THE WORST is Kershaw. junk.OK so I thought I would try this Knife even thought made in China it had good 5 start reviews.. If I could I would give it 10 stars. It is slightly heavy but feels great my hand, Opens easiest, fastest I ever had, sharp as a razor..And to my surprise unnoticeable in my pocket and the clip is the best I have had keeping in place. For me its great......... I'm going to buy one for my son no occasion just cause it is a great knife.
