Killer Beauty: An Enemies to Lovers Hitman Captive Romance (The Chaos Crew) Paperback – October 21, 2021

A very action-packed first book in the series. We hit the ground running from the first pages and the running doesn't stop until we get to the last page and yes, this does end in a cliffhanger that will have you running questions in your mind.I enjoyed how the plot moved forward and while we are still in the dark about many things, I liked how the paths are beginning to form. The writing is really good and captivating, I was instantly drawn to the characters and their motivations. I have so many questions on this and I'm very curious to see what happens next.On the why choose -angle, we don't get much but we do get interactions between Dess and pretty much all the men, though only one or two show signs of romantic nature. But again, this feels quite good and natural for the plot progression. The spicy scene we got was good and hot!!I think my favorites so far are Dess and Blaze, with the rest of the men a close second. The vibes in this book are spectacular and I'm so excited for more!

Wow it’s a slow build up then it speeds up then cuts off now onto second book! Worth the read

This book was beyond Fantastic and once I started it I was hooked and could not put it down. I had to finish it in one sitting and as soon as I was done I had to order book 2. It moves along at a great pace making for an easy and exciting read. You will love these characters and you want to know more about them and see what is going to happen. The story will grab you and keep you hooked until the last page is read. This book has to be read, no doubt about it.

I struggled with my rating a bit. I enjoyed this book enough to finish it pretty quickly, but I also feel like after reading the entire thing... Nothing really happened.I was invested enough to want to find out what "The Household" is (besides the obvious underground crime syndicate), but I still don't know. Dess has been sheltered her whole life, except for outings for assassin jobs, but I still feel like some of her actions/choices were a little off. She's been trained her whole life, and is ambidextrous in a fight, but wasn't shown good form for using her non-dominant hand? Maybe I'm expecting too much from her, but she gets put in tight spots a lot for someone who's entire life has revolved around training (and has successfully executed who knows how many hits).In terms of romance, there's very little so far. The guys make some comments on their attraction to her in their heads, and then 1 short open door scene that kinda came out of nowhere. The first person Dess had a connection with, wouldn't have been my first choice, but I know based on this author it won't be the last.

Gritty, bloody chaos, and I enjoyed every second of it! I read these ladies series Crooked Princess and really enjoyed it, so I knew I needed to pick this up and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s gritty, raw, bloody, filled with violence and complete psychos. The BEST kind of psychos if you’re into the whole kidnap, violent thing. Dess the FMC is a complete bad***, she’s been training her whole life to be an assassin and she’s d@*m good at it, but when it comes to leaving behind the only life she’s ever known, she’s lost. She grew up isolated except for her quick jobs so she’s very unfamiliar with the real world, and don’t get her started on emotions. Then there’s the guys; Julius is the leader, Talon is the silent muscle, Garrison is the “people person” because he’s fantastic at wearing a mask, and Blaze is the quirky, funny, semi dorky nerd who’s also a ninja I’m convinced. They all bring something different to the table and I really enjoyed seeing the relationship development. It’s a bit of a slow-burn with some steam but you can just feel there’s going to be so much more. I’m glad I picked up this series, I recommend if you’re in need of some loveable violent, crazy psychos! 🖤

Wow, wow, wow. Another amazing book from these two amazing authors. I read/listened to this book and I am so excited for the next one.There is so much action and mystery surrounding this book that you are just draw in, and the next thing you know you have finished it.Vanessa Moyen and Stephen Dexter do an excellent job with the characters. I look forward to the next one

Such great characters that you will love to hate. The storyline is getting better and better and I can't wait to read the next book.

I love it, the story was really interesting. Dess is such a unique kind of character, I can't wait to see how the relationships with the guys will evolve. This book has action, misteries, heists and some steam (but more toward the end). I really want to know what will happen next!

I love a book where the main characters are finding more to learn about themselves, along with relationship interacies and boy, does this book satisfy.Dess, our FMC, is a trained assassin and has lived her life so far in pretty much isolation, believing she is killing for the good of the 'household'.Julius, Talon, Blaze and Garrison are the Chaos Crew, killers for hire, with strict standards dictating which jobs they take.When their worlds collide unexpectedly, they all have to face aspects of their pasts, trust issues, deceipt and rising passions.The imaginations and skill of these authors is to be applauded. The plot line is detailed and full of twists and turns and I found it exceptional how all five of these very strong characters, started to show their vulnerabilities.I can't believe I've only just found this series. I'm totally hooked now though!

Well written and entertaining. If you're looking for something easy that sucks you in, this is the book for you.

I have struggled a little to stay focussed when glaring spelling or grammatical errors arise, though they’re not as frequent as other books I’ve read, but thankfully the storyline has been good enough to pull me through. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Only 4 stars as it took me longer than normal to read, I kept at it tho, happy to go onto book 2 as Intrigued to see where this story goes.
