Fits Kingsmill Medium BUT inconsistent browning...
I had high hopes for this toaster after seeing so many positive reviews but I had to return mine. While the slots are big (tall and wide) and my Kingsmill Medium 50/50 and wholemeal bread slices fit reasonably well into the slots (miles better than lots of other toasters where there’s a good inch of bread poking out the top), the toasting was inconsistent: sometimes it would brown evenly, sometimes not - and one side of the bread was always more toasted than the other. Additionally, if only one slice of bread was used, one side would remain completely un-toasted. I could only make good toast consistently by cancelling mid-way through a low cycle and flipping and rotating the bread at least once.To add to this, the dial, although well-designed was troublesome as it’s very hard to read the encased numbers which are completely obscured unless you use the toaster with the dial side of the toaster facing forwards. It’s also quite a large toaster with a very boxy design that I didn’t really like in person and found to be cumbersome to move on our worktop (our toaster lives below wall-mounted cabinets so it has to be pulled outwards every day to avoid heat damage to the cabinets).A very promising toaster - points for having large slots - but failed to deliver for me. While it's possible to achieve satisfactory toast with this, it really needed to toast evenly and consistently without my intervention to be able to justify the price.

Good to begin with….
Initially I really liked the toaster but after 12 months I’ve noticed that it isn’t toasting on both sides of the bread and I’m having to turn it around when it’s toasted the first side. Very disappointing.

dysfunctional
Along with other toasters I've had this one toasts one side of the bread more than the other so you have to turn the bread round put it back in and hope the already done side is not burnt. You would think current technology would be able to ensure heat elemants heat up evenly. Also the crumb tray fails to catch most of the crumbs so when lifting up the machine the worktop is covered in crumbs. I thought to buy myself out of the mess by getting a Dlongee 4slot but no that's even worse!

Well needed!
I got this toaster as my current one broke after a few days and is literally the best investment in a while, my old one is the one on the left from Wilko and the saying you get what you paid for is honestly so true! It broke and it also couldn’t fit the whole bread so I would have to cut off the crust just to fit it in but this toaster I now have fits the whole thing as it should! My favourite feature though which my old one was lacking is the different settings where you twist the dial depending on how toasted you want your toast which is amazing as I don’t have to stand there trying to make it how I like it. I usually use 2/3 setting as I like mine lightly golden and this toaster does just that, so I love how easy it is to use. Also I love the reheat function as I get ready for work in the morning I sometimes forget my toast inside the toaster when I’m rushing so I love how I am able to use this function and it doesn’t make it any toastier it just warms it up as if it just freshly came out so it’s perfect for on the go too! Really worth investing and it hasn’t broken yet and used it for a few weeks now so I’m impressed, still have to use the defrost function as I don’t usually freeze my bread so can’t comment on that but everything else I love and the colour is very nice too

Not long lived
I haven't had this very long as toasters go and it is not used often - maybe twice a week for a couple of weeks, then a week or so without use but it has just started to smell of burning plastic. I had high hopes that this from Amazon would last
