I made these and once they baked I put some together and they don't sit flat. So all the trees were tilted.

I have a couple of gingerbread cookie cutters. Gingerbread cookie cutters are difficult to use because even though they fit together if perfect, cookie dough has to be the right consistency or the cookies will raise or leak or otherwise not fit together well. One of my sets fits into itself with notches but that can be hard to use because there is often some sanding or other work necessary to make them fit together.This set does not fit together with notches, so you don't have that problem, but the pieces simply set together and in this case uneven pieces make it hard to fit them together. This is a pretty small house, which is good for kids that want to do their own houses, but it is a bit small if you want to do them as a group project.

Can't wait to use these! These seem super sturdy, they won't bend when the kids are using them. The squares for the sides of the house are not perfect rectangles, they bulge out just a little on the middle on every side. It's probably manageable if you have to have completely straight edges.
