Sure...any 16 gauge and medium crown. Do your own homework.

Q: Does this come ready to use? i know i need to purchase staples do i also need a compressor? does this get powered by electricity?

Yes it is ready to use and it will need at least a pancake style compressor of the air flow required in the directions. And the air compressor needs electricity.

Q: Would this work for stapling 4 ga wire cattle fencing to wood 4x4's? Im concerned the blade that drives the staples could be damaged by hitting wire

Ive hung livestock fence, and i have this gun (used to assemble beehives) and would not use this staple gun for that. Yes, You can control the depth of staple, but i dont think its that precise and you may damage wire or insulator. Also, live stock fencing staples are barbed. This gun shoots thin, non barbed staples so i think they would get pulled out. Get the right staples and staple driver tool for fencing.

Q: Will this stapler “bump fire “ in other words if I hold the trigger and bump the nose will it fire off a Staple ??

I never had that problem. The trigger is touchy though. So if you push and pull the trigger if you don't let go right away it will put two staples in it.
