Penn State Industries PKCROG6 Replacement Crochet Hook, 4.00 mm (G/6)

I would love to rate these higher, but I would have to agree with all the other reviews about the design flaws of the hooks themselves. The size of the barrel as well as the hook end determines the size of the crochet hook. If this is wrong it will throw off the gauge of the project you are working on rendering it the wrong size. The tips are also too blunt and do not work smoothly when working on a project. They are also too sharp on the underside of the hook and can cut the yarn. Also, there is no such thing as a professional crochet kit and a hobby kit. I have seen people who have been crocheting for years do wonderful things with less expensive kits. The most important thing is that the size of the hooks be correct. I love the concept of this product, and with these changes they can be an excellent edition to any crochet kit. Please PSI, go get a crochet kit from a hobby store and use those as a guide.

I like that I got a great price for the hooks I purchased and they fit great for the handle I already had!
