Very Nice Hammer -
Great design, the axe style handle really helps to generate power. Finish work on the hammer head was good, but not super, but then again it's a less than $30 hammer. The blue finish was great, the silver polishing of the sides a little rough but not horrible, my Estwing and Stanley stuff a bit better. The waffle face is decent. The magnet nail starter is well fitted. The handle was fine, well fitted with good grain.19ozs feels right, neither too heavy nor too light. For those that have never handled one, be aware it is a long hammer.

Best framing hammer
For the price you can't beat it. Great handle, good feel, and good durability.

Light and quick hammer, no vibration
I love this hammer I can't lie. The waffle face is great for getting a good contact on nails top or bottom. I spend a lot of time disassembling palettes and this has helped to pry and smash with the best of em. I am 6' 200lb and to me this thing is so easy to use due to being lightweight. From experience, it also has minimal vibration due to being well-designed and high quality.

It works well.
Caught a sale and knew that this was the hammer I wanted. Every human should own a hammer.

Good 19oz.
Very good "light" framer. Only a 19 oz. head but with the 17" handle it swings quite well with a good hit. Easy on the wrist and elbow for us old guys.

Perfect
Way more power than I expected and great price! Like all wood handle tools I recommend sanding down the handle and applying boiled linseed oil. That will give you grip and finish just like Grandpa's!

Best framing hammer
I gave a 5 to "light weight" because it would punish them for being heavy, but it's precisely as heavy as it needs to be and for a framing hammer light weight is a stupid qualifier.

I really like Vaughan. However, I don't like these axe handles. The straight handle is also available (but it's much more expensive compared to the axe handle).
