It worked!
Our hot water circulator stopped giving us the cold water. We replaced this little valve from under the sink in the upstairs bathroom. Works fine now.

Should have bought 2!
I have these installed under 2 sinks, one failed after 8 years use. I replaced it with this one, now I need another and the price has doubled.

It works... for a while
For some people it will probably work wonderful forever. My (well) water has a pretty high mineral content and despite have a neutralizer, softener and whole house filter, these little thermal bypasses get gunked up with mineral buildup and wind up staying open all the time. This makes both our hot AND cold water very hot. I'll get one or two seasons out of them and then they have to be replaced. If you've got two or three of them and you're also replacing those hoses it's quite a bit of money and effort to keep things functioning properly. These things ain't cheap, given what they are. If there was a way to clean out that mineral build-up, I'd give them a higher rating.

Re purposed
Thermal by-Pass Valve.This product failed in only six months.Apparently it is susceptible to sand .I was able to clean it and re use as designed.I recommend install a filter.

Cheap plastic
Plastic is only good for about100 to 110degF. I sent it back and found a metal one at 30% cheaper.

Costly
For what it's supposed to do, these valves are extremely overpriced, and from my experience with them, their life expectancy is poor.
