And the nutritional information is right at your fingertips.Plus, the author, Robin Berlin is a REAL Registered Dietician. She has expert tips and professional information throughout the book on how to live a healthy life if you, or someone you care about, has stomach issues. There is even a section that lists the foods that are “good” for your gut and the foods to avoid.Thank you, Robin, for bringing your expertise to a practical and useful cookbook!

Not great for SIBO
I received this cookbook and am very disappointed. Many of these recipes contain ingredients (and in quantities) not good for people with SIBO and are not low fodmap. What the heck when it's supposed to be a speciality cookbook. Will be returning it.

Double check!
Bought this because Dr Pimentel recommends it. Book has nice photos and easy instructions however the food lists in the back of the book of what you should and should not eat for SIBO and IMO have “inconsistencies” compared to Dr.Pimentels book. Also, celery is allowed if you “peel the skin”?!?! I’ve never seen celery “skin” but if this is low fiber, celery shouldn’t even be on the ok list. Check these foods against Dr Pimentels latest book- The Microbiome Connection

NOT for SIBO / gut issues
I just paid good money for a book that dares to call frying an egg a recipe. But wait, it gets better—or worse, depending on your gut. If you’re on the hunt for low FODMAP, low fermentation recipes to soothe your SIBO-ridden gut, keep hunting. This book serves up a buffet of the very foods you’re probably trying to avoid. My intestines are filing a complaint!

Wanted to love this
Unfortunately this wasn’t great for sibo related concerns as lots of recipes contain onion and garlic. There wasn’t any mention of histamine conditions and some of the recipes were ridiculously simplistic (fried egg, roasted potatoes). The book has a pretty layout but it isn’t super helpful for in depth gut issues like it markets itself to be. Also most recipes are for large groups of people with no info meals for smaller families.

Easy and Delicious
I have been following the advice from Dr. Pimentel for years (he co-wrote the forward) and his advice has restored my gut health. I was always hoping he would develop or endorse a cookbook and here it is! I’m not sure I will ever need more than this cookbook. It is seasonal, easy to follow, healthy, and absolutely delicious. I have a number of cookbooks and am an avid cooker and could not be happier with these recipes. I would recommend this to anyone with or without gut health issues.

Terrible
Was really excited for this book but it was absolutely terrible. I should have believed the other reviews. Basic recipes and alot of salad recipes although according to the LFE diet, salads should be kept to a minimum. Don't waste your money, buy 'The Microbiome Connection' book instead to educate yourself rather than look at fancy photos.
