Swanson Tool AE141 36-Inch Yardstick, Yellow

Exactly what I was looking for and my Husband was thrilled. He said he wanted one but would not have bought it for himself. Arrived earlier than projected which is great for a flooring project we are starting. My box was damaged and the tool was bent (thankfully not creased) on arrival, but easily straightened. I sent the seller a note telling them this and recommended better shipping packaging.

I investigated, and found out every nearby hardware store megamart sells only inches. there is not even one metric measuring stick, or tape, anywhere to be found! employees at one place are walking around with Orange measuring tapes and those things have meters on them, but they arent for sale, the tapes on all the shelves are inches only, and quarter-inches instead of centimeters luckily i was able to find this product before it was discontinued. it is a bit thin but seems durable enough, so far it has stayed flat and straight, it is accurate

I use this ruler in conjunction with 3d printed parts from another seller to make a very affordable golf club ruler. Its used for building all golf clubs and can even be used for club weight. Great product and saves me $$$ since i dont need to buy an expensive golf club ruler by itself.

Nice straight edge. Received nice packaging and nice and straight. I use it to cut plywood. Makes the task easier.

I really like the weight of this ruler, it also stands out nicely because of the color, the downside is that it's double sided and therefore it slips when I use it on top of vinyl. But that's just in my case.

I bought this as a gift. Was very surprised when it showed up FedEx delivery completely separate from all my other purchases in the same order in a humongous Lowes box packed full of air cushions. The yardstick itself seemed to be exactly what I wanted, but the packaging was a huge waste of resources.

Years ago I bought one of these Swanson Tool AE142 48-Inch Straight Edge (Yellow) rulers at a big-box store and used it all the time, especially for marking lines on 4'x8' materials. Unfortunately it was misplaced in a recent move. I ordered a new one through Amazon because the "specialists" at the local building supply stores just gave me a blank look when I asked whether they carried anything similar. I've already put it to extensive use, and am happy to have one again!

I have a wooden yardstick but it's constantly getting misplaced and difficult to locate because it blends right in with its surroundings. I don't believe I'll have the same problem with this bright yellow one....so that's one pro. Another is the black numbers against the bright yellow makes it super easy to read the measurements; then there's the durability and, finally, the cost. As to cons: there aren't any!

Very pleased with my ruler. I got it to use in pattern making as I didn’t have anything long enough. It’s very sturdy.

I love this for my needs. I am not a carpenter and don't use it every day. I also use it inside my house, not outside. It is a perfect thickness--sturdy not flimsy.

How do you review a straight peace of metal it was what i wanted

It came in a box without any wrapping, so there are paint chips and some chips on the metal. If you're using this to draw straight lines, consider the chipping making it harder. Otherwise its a very strong, good ruler.

Dad was one of those "use right tool for the job" kinda guys, so I have a half dozen that are various length under a metre. Sadly, a metre is not long enough and yes I know how to draw a longer and straight-enuf line with one but when you can find a good 4-foot straight edge at a good price, you buy it. So I did.
