Not all cables are created equal. I’m using these with fast SSDs and an M3 Ultra Mac Studio, and they perform flawlessly. The build quality is excellent, and transfer speeds are consistently reliable. Couldn’t ask for more from a cable. Definitely a worthy buy—I’ll be getting more in the future!

It's not easy to physically connect the M1 MacBook Pro to a M2 iPad Pro, many USB-c cables won't work, not even a charge. The cable that comes with the iPad pro is just a charging cable, so the data rate is very very slow. Synchronizing large files is simply painful. When using the Apple USB-c charging cable, the MacBook Pro will not recognize the previous sync, it will insist on re-sync the iPad from scratch, making each sync of a database of video files unnecessarily long. All that changed with the OWC TB4 cable, synchronization is now a breeze and the MacBook recognizes the previous syncs, it won't insist on a complete overwrite anymore. Thanks. The price of the cable is still too high even though it's cheaper than Apple's. I was throwing out all my old cables the other day, the SCSIs, the DVIs, Firewires, PCIe, USB2 etc., all that waste.

A great cheap alternative to the apple cables. quality seems to exceed cost so far. Except on mine the little piece you grab with your fingers to plug it in and pull it out doesn't sit flush with the device its plugged in to. not a deal breaker as i don't usually use my devices, except iPad and hub ( which just sit on the table ) with them plugged in, so I'm not to concerned about the extra support offered if the little plastic piece sat flush against the port. works great as intended when moving my videos around, plenty quick for me, a hobby user.

This is a really good data and charge cable, and for what it is, it is a relative bargain. I would suggest people get informed about cables before buying. There are a lot of USB-C cables out there. The differences are whether they are charge cables, how much resistance they have (the wattage rating, ie how thick the actual copper is) and whether they are also data cables. People wince at the Apple Thunderbolt cable prices, but without realizing the engineering and manufacturing involved to carry that much current at the same time as that much data. It's asking a lot of a cable.I had to learn the hard way as a photographer with a large archive. Cables matter. When transferring large amounts of data, most cheap cables don't do data at all. Then most of the data cables aren't rated for full-speed transfers and default to lower transfer speeds. Then, a lot of cables aren't rated for full-power charging, so your computer is trickling in power at 30 watts. This cable actually does everything well. That's why it costs more than the generic USB-C cables. I think it's worth every penny. For what it is, these cables seem like a real bargain. I have a longer OWC cable at home to connect to my RAID archive. I got this short one to stay in my bag. I use it to charge from a power brick and transfer projects back and forth from an NVMe enclosure. so far I've mostly used it at my teaching job at a college. It handles charges from my battery brick quicker than the generic cable it came with. It's noticeably quicker. Then it transfers big batches of data much quicker than the little generic cable the NVMe enclosure came with. Having a cable like this will pay for itself when I have photo jobs where I have to process and back up large batches of photos quickly on site and then top of my computer after running it down processing pictures.

Unlike my previous cable this one is solid and wont drop connection.

Ik zal duidelijk zijn. Ik zou willen dat ik deze gewoon meteen had gekocht. Had een hoop frustratie gescheeld. Andere kabels werken wel maar zijn onstabiel. Hebben soms wel beeld maar dan werkt USB apparatuur weer niet. Het regelmatig wegvallen van USB apparatuur of beeld was ik zat.

OWC a une longueur d'avance sur les autres marques pour le Thunderbolt, clairement. Le Thunderbolt, fonctionne comme prévu en passif grâce à ce cable, même sur 2m, ce que les autres marques ont des difficultés à proposer. Au-delà de 2m, il faut passer sur des cables actif.
