LEGO has released six Lone Ranger sets this year (their first Western themed sets since 2002), and this Stage Coach Escape (79108) is by far my favorite. It's the best set that combines playability, design, and price. There are some points one could nit pick on such as the horses being out of scale, the wagon bottom being two special pieces instead of individual bricks, etc. However, those cons are far surpassed for me by the pros of this set. First, you get a fun build with the stage coach, and a second fun mini-build with the safe. You also get five mini-figs (three exclusive to this set), three horses, and tons of accessories: suitcase, extra hats, mask, pistols, rifles, knives, dynamite, and gold & silver to place in the safe. For collectors, this set has the classic color scheme and silhouette of the iconic Western stage coach, and it would make a neat display piece. For parents and gift givers, at the price point of $30 this set is going to give you the most value for your dollar and will give kids tons of opportunities for play as a stand alone set.If you're looking for another Lone Ranger set to go along with this one and are on a budget, I recommend the Cavalry Builder set (79106) for $13 on amazon. It comes with four mini-figs and the Lone Ranger's famous horse, Silver.

My daughter and I have assembled three of the new Lone Ranger sets so far, and they have all been fun and creative, and the mini figures have been unique and well designed. This set is no exception. The coach is multilayered with many moving parts for creative play or display, and the five figures are all distinctive, especially the female figure. If there was anything that I would have like to add to this set it would have been one more horse for the outlaws. Still, there was room on the coach to position a nice battle between the Lone Ranger and one robber. A great set, especially at amazon's price of 29.99!

I'm an adult who's not really a LEGO collector, but as a fan of the upcoming Lone Ranger movie, I wanted to try a set as a memento of the movie. This one was a perfect size because it wasn't too big or expensive, but yet has some great basics including 5 minifigures, 3 horses and plenty of accessories. I had fun putting it together and can enjoy keeping it on my shelf and switching the figures and accessories around whenever I wish!

I put this model together in a couple of hours, and it looks pretty realistic from pictures and other models of stage coaches. I can think of two things that I wish were included -- Silver for the Lone Ranger and a Pinto for Tonto. To date I have seen no Lego Pintos, although there are a number of brown horses with a white blaze on their foreheads. I also had to add a couple of Lego bricks from my own stash to complete it, one that the model called for but was not in the box and one that I felt would make the model stronger. I particularly liked the way the harness attached to the coach -- both sturdily made and easily handled. As a Historic Model Train collector, I feel that this coach makes a nice addition to the trains because it was an early form of transportation.

With three horses, 5 people, lots of guns and knives, and a very fun, detailed carriage, this set is a great addition to any western or even Victorian Era Lego scene. The only downside is that the new horses aren't compatible with all of the horse accessories from old sets, such as armor from knight sets, but this is true of all horses in new sets.

A stage coach wow!!! i mean this thing even has some suspension to it. when i was a kid all u could get in legos was a car or a plane or some stupid house. these days the kids have amazing crap at there disposal. For my nephews b-day i bought him three lone ranger sets and by far this one is the coolest. He had this together in no time, something i could never do at his age. So come buy your little one something cool, well only if they like legos. I mean if they dont like legos dont waste money on it. Well thats it for now, the horses are gettin restless and i still havent seen that gateway to the west thing there talking about.

Lego "what can you say?" These are the best made toys ever. This set the detailing was fantastic and went perfect with the other Lone Ranger Lego sets.Grand son had no problem putting it together,..... and as Lego products go..... the instructions are very easy to follow. This set comes with a lot of characters and my grandsons are having a blast playing with it.I cant wait to see what future themed sets come out from this company.

We bought this for out 7yo nephew for a gift. He loved it! Put it together without much trouble and had a lot of fun playing. He also informed us that this set is not sold in any store he had seen, so he was really happy to receive it!

Just as described. Expensive but my son loved it and it arrived on time for Christmas.

It was a present for my grandson for xmas but l expected it to be a bit bigger. A lot of money for just a small stagecoach.

Ordered the lego for my children - they like collecting the lego sets. Rec'd the item within a couple of weeks.
