Heavy duty

Solid brass body and levers seem very sturdy. The lightest part is the threaded hose attachment but it spins easily and sealed well with just hand tightness. Interior construction looks like stainless steel balls and white plastic, (possibly Teflon), seal. Much better quality than the old metal Y, which this replaces, as that had black plastic levers that broke, and a white metal body that was corroding. Came with all three needed rubber washers, plus a roll of Teflon tape...it seals fine without the Teflon tape, but it's always nice to have a spare of that on hand.

This item works quite well. The individual ball valves are tight and there's no leakage as of yet.

Excellent product, well made and easy to install. It's perfect to set up 2 sets of hoses, one for the front yard and 1 all the way to the back. I'm on an acre, so I need much hose length, and this makes it much more convenient. All you do is flip the little lever to which hose you want, and you're good to go. Water flows evenly to either side. And it comes with extra washers if you need them.

A very nice piece of kit. Well made. Comes with washers and teflon tape! Most importantly, each of the two shutoff valves is relatively easy to turn. The handles are just a little bigger and leverage makes a difference. My experience is that the plastic (nylon??) ones break. This one will outlast most of humanity.
