They are cute AND have the writing! No need for "what's that?" translations
I love these little suckers! I searched until I found the perfect deck that has the aesthetics I wanted (it's gotta look close to the tiles I initially played with and am thereby familiar with) AND it has the "here's what it is" writing on it so I don't need to pack my cheat-sheet! They're exactly what I wanted! I'm also glad that they're as thin width-wise as they are because the pack is thick; you need a lot of cards to account for as many majong tiles as there are, plus, you are holding a lot of cards in your hand (13 is a lot, after all), so wider cards would just be more awful (I know; my family made up a card game where the last 3 hands require 12 cards -- you have to keep putting sections down and picking them up because it's too many to hold, even for the men. It sucks a bit for those 3 hands, and there's no way anyone would want to that for the entire game).

Good cards, but not ideal for my use case
The cards are good quality, so if you're getting them for a more traditional use case, they'll probably work great for that. I don't know if these are normal sized for Mahjong playing cards, but they're smaller than poker cards. The smaller size makes to really easy to shuffle all the cards at once, despite how many there are. I could even do it with my tiny baby hands.I know that these are meant to be used to play normal Mahjong with other people, but I bought them hoping to play solitaire Mahjong games with them. They don't really work for that. With most solitaire Mahjong layouts, it's important to be able to tell what layer each of the tiles are on for making matches, which is difficult in the best of cases with these. Since the cards are so flat, every card you can see the face of looks like it's on the same layer. Determining whether to cards on the same layer or not can be more or less difficult depending on the layout you're using, but it's rarely possible to do it at a glance unless most of the cards are already gone.

Great for traveling
At first, we had to get used to holding so many cards. Don’t get the same, swimming at the table in mixing the tiles, but you do what you have to do. Can’t imagine packing mahjong tiles for a vacation. These cards work well. Small enough to pack and hold the amount of cards you need for a game of mahjong. Quality is good, a bit slippery but maybe because we haven’t had it for so long and only for our vacation. Good for money. Just wish the numbers would be in the corners, hard to see or read if you are unfamiliar with Chinese characters.

High quality, perfect size
I bought these to make a Shenzhen I/O solitaire deck, and it works great. I did end up stenciling the number at the top of the card for easier organization.

Great For Travel
We have a full sized mahjong set at home. Bought it in Hong Kong back in 1976 when I was in the Navy. So that is our go to set most of the time. But it's too bulky and heavy to travel with whether spending a week or two in Cabo San Lucas at our timeshare or taking on a cruise ship. So these are a perfect little travel set. They do seem a little thin, so durability might be questionable, and initially, right out of the box, these are pretty slick to hold on to but those issues can be overcome because they are so perfect to travel with.

Great For Mahjong Players
If you want to be able to play mahjong where ever you go, this card set is for you. While it defnitely is not the same as playing with the actual tiles, this set allows you to play when you don't have the tile set available or if you don't have room to use a tile set. The cards themselves look great. They are well labled so you do not have to guess what you are looking at. Great price too. So if you can't afford a tile set this is the next best thing. Great pick up for mahjong players on the go.

Nice set of cards
The cards are nice, but a bit slick, but very easy to read. When I opened the box, I was looking for the instructions. Then saw on the listing, it says they're not included.Luckily if you look at the side of the box, you'll find the URL where you can find them. Then download the pdf. Then you can use them digitally, easy to find things. Or print them out so you have them physically with the cards.
