Great Furnace kit for beginners
I recently got my hands on this smelting furnace, and it’s been a huge improvement for my metalworking projects. Turning scrap metal into ingots and beautiful artwork like 3D casting ornaments has never been easier. This furnace offers fantastic improvements from my old one, including a better burner inlet valve, thicker ceramic cotton insulation, and a powder-coated body. This furnace delivers powerful heat performance, reaching up to 1300°C and melting metals like gold, sterling silver, copper, and aluminum quickly. The efficient insulation barrier, with high-density ceramic fiber and a sturdy firebrick base, provides excellent heat retention and durability. The full kit includes everything one would need to start: the propane furnace, 6KG crucible, ingot mold, tongs, high-temperature gloves, and a firebrick. The included manual is easy to follow, making it perfect for beginners. Overall, is an exceptional smelting furnace that offers great value and performance for any metalworking enthusiast.

Excitement turned into disappointment
My enthusiasm was high when Amazon recommended this product: aimed at beginners, a very complete pack, detailed to satisfy.Immediatelly, I started to combine my smaller silver bars into ~600 g bars, filming it all to make a video for YouTube and share with the "trash into treasure" community. The first disappointment: it does not heat enough. For Aluminum, Lead, Pewter is as easy, but I have stove top for those. For Brass, Copper, Gold and Silver, no dice.I am summarizing the detailed "documentary" I was making. The finishing of the product seemed to be more than good for the price. The package includes a fantastic set of accessories, everything seemed to take me to smelters' nirvanaa. After much suffering - using the #6 crucible that comes with it, you will only smelt Aluminium and other metals with smaller melting point metals.I had to buy a #2 crucible and have some success. It melts 300g of silver sometimes. I decided to try directly in the mold. I works most times, but the end product is low quality when we use this tactic.I deduced it has insulation problems since the measure temperature never meets equilibrium, with ~1000oC only close to the bottom. So I purchased insulation wool: first to add under the lid (it is a shame how the lid was finished, it crumbled after one use). It improved a bit but after a couple of more uses, it showed insulation problems again.I covered the entire furnace with the wool externally and tightened with metal wires. Now Brass and Copper (accompanied with others to all high princes of hell) started to work with more consistency. As of today the metallic shell of the firmware is crumbling like boiled egg shell. The internal refractory cement was not finished well and it is 1/3 gone already (buying more cement to recover I eternally if possible, or I will just add more wool in the I side as well. The bottom is a mess, I will add a round cut piece of wool so that I can replace when needed. Conclusion: buy cheap, buy twice.Unless you will play only with Aluminium, stay far of on this, possibly it is somewhat worth because of the high quality accessories, by themselves the price is jhstified, but the product seems to have no QC, seems to be made by hands aimed at people that will use it for decoration purposes only.I had to remake the entire product. I should have grabbed some tin can or similar in that junkyard and made it myself with wool and cement. Would certainly be a much better product, lasting more than than 4 or 5 melts for sure.

Melting Pot
I've wanted to get one of these for a while and when i found this one I said what the heck why not. It was a great decision. Very easy to use and setup. Just have to be careful because of the fire and heat it produces. Easy melted some scrap aluminum and other metals I had laying around. Perfect size for my needs. Quality seems great and seems like it will be very durable. Now I just have to make my own molds to cast different items out of the metal ingots I've made.

Updated fair review , torch portion stripped
older review belowUpdate March 27th 23 :The seller was super quick to respond and offered to ship a replacement to make sure that I would not only be able to use the product but to make sure it was safe to use. The sellers communication was awesome and the replacement unit does not have the defect on the torch. I 100% and satisfied and I honestly recommend this for anybody beginning to learn. The quality of everything else was as expected and good.I thought this was a good value, the seem to promising. However, on the second use ran into major issues and of course it happens two days after the return window closes.First, big major issue is that after the first use, I noticed the torch portion that connects to the actual kiln would not screw right and stay flush DANGEROUSLY the threading strips right out, as you can see in the picture. This prevents the propane and fire from staying in the kilm. This creates issue number two.. by not having a flush and sealed gap anymore a lot of backfire in the actual torch itself and it melted the paint right away.Everything was on a level surface and I even had the torch propped up to the same level so there was no extra strain on it.I think this thing is turning into a fire hazard and I would stay far away from this. No support help from the manufacturer either. Pure waste of money.
