this unit works great for our application. it was larger and heavier than thought it would be. great to remove coolant from a machine

Sits flat on bottom of pond/pool
When it sits on the bottom of the pool, there is still 2" of water in the bottom of the pool/pond we have to scoop out, so we place the strainer in a big bucket and fill with the remaining water to empty out the rest of the water

Works great and also captures the water if it’s very low. However, it could be heavier if you’re working with a hard hose.

I needed an hose attachment to pump out water from my above ground swimming pool and this attachment together with Gloxco 2" Skimmer Suction Strainer, Top Hole, Zinc Plated Steel (STR-SKTH200) worked well.
