Bought the bedroom and purifer. Work great !.
At 80years old I was just diagnosed with HCHO/formaldehyde poisoning. This has been life saving to me. I bought a monitor to help me get a handle on the HCHO. My apartment registered almost 900 on the monitor when I first tested the air quality. Within 48 hours the HCHO count was under 200, and now it is holding at less than 1 to 20. I call that a win. I set the machine on low or medium, and it makes a great white noise for great sleeping. Worth the expense. This should help me for the rest of my life. Also, was shipped in a very sturdy box, no damage. Came in 2 days. Easy to get out of the box too.😷.

Not for Multiple Chemical Sensitivity
This is a sturdy unit and probably works fine for the average person. Unfortunately I have mcs and this unit offgasses something which makes me feel worse than I do without the air purifier. It is very frustrating to believe if you spend enough money an air purifier will help only to find out it makes you worse.

Works very well at removing odors
This is a great machine at removing odors from the air. The fan sped gets up there fast, but I find the lowest setting to work for sleeptime. I have had an IQAir for years and decided to try Austin Air for a second unit because it is smaller in size, slightly cheaper ($50,) and has only one filter. Very satisfied with it so far, works as well as the IQ Air!

May not be good for MCS
I have bought this model because it said it was good for people with MCS. The off gasing from the unit made me sick. I am contacting the company during the week and will post another review on what they say. If you suffer with this condition you might want to think again before buying it. Other than being a little noisy on high it is a great machine and does move a lot of air. For someone not dealing with MCS it could be a good unit..I followed up with the manufacturer and told them about the odor from the unit. Off gasing that I smelled. They were very helpful and told me the smell is coming from the filter system. They were willing to send me another type of filter but assured it would not help with MCS. They instructed me to send it back and get a full refund. I followed amazon return procedure. I will follow up with another review on my refund. I have to say the company was great in how they handled my call and treated me. I give the unit a 5 star as well as the company. Don't know why someone wrote to stay away from this company because of how they got treated. I personally experienced just the opposite. They were extremely cordial, accommodating etc. Back to the drawing board to find another unit good for MCS.

Good the first year.
I could definitely tell a difference in air quality the first year, but since then, not so much. Now I can't tell much difference and it's gotten noisier even on the lowest setting. For what's it worth, I convinced a friend to buy one and she's now experiencing the same thing. IMO, this machine is too expensive to last only one year.
