Carvings not very deep.

This was not what I expected. Would be great for flat cookies but not for Springles.

I was excited about this rolling pin because the photo showed images with deep impressions that would look good on cookies. What I received was one with verry shallow impressions, no deeper than 1/32". I have a lot of experience with springerles and know you have to have a deep impression so that the image shows up on the cookie after baking. On this rolling pin the images are basically pictures burnt on the surface of the wood with no depth. I would recommend buying something else.
