I had a decorating idea to use this for other than just a zen garden but changed my mind so I'm returning it. However, one of the tools to use in the sand was broken and the wooden tray itself was quite cheap for the price. I plan to buy another one to use as an actual zen garden but not this one.

Cool little Japanese zen garden that helps one concentrate and "think"......it's got the green sand and all the rakes styles to rake and maneuver the sand just how you want it, and the little characters and props, are just the right size, to adequately spread out in a proportional, organized, eye appealing, manner. This is a great little zen garden for my desktop, and it looks good just sitting there, let alone the fun that comes from rearranging and playing around with it... great product!

I love this little zen garden! The farm figures are easy to place and move around as I please. Aesthetically this thing looks amazing on my desk. Its also quite nice to play with and it serves as a distractor when anxiety begins to kick in or when stress is too high.

I purchased for a friend who was depressed. She was missing the beach, so I got this for her. While it looked fine on the product page, it looks quite a bit more plasticky in real life, which made it look tacky. While my friend loved the product, I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't worth the money I paid for it.
