Lots of unique Bushcraft ideas for every season, terrain and basic need you may have.
I like how Creek went about organizing this particular book. It looks at survival skills from different angles, i.e. seasonal, most important needs, different terrains as well as variations to some of the skills. He also does a great job linking you to extended content from his site that enhances his book. You can tell that he put a great deal of time and thought into his book and it was worth the wait. I hope to never be in a life or death survival situation and my hope is that I could apply some of these skills to make the difference. So many of these skills aren't exclusive to a survival situation...in fact all of them can be used while you're in the outdoors to enhance your experience. It also tells me that you don't have to bring every little thing with you but instead improvise a little bit with what's available around you. The more you know the less you need to haul on your back.

Disappointed but still a Creek Stewart fan.
I'm a big fan of Creek Stewart, and I have quite a few of his other books, all of which I would rate 5 stars. I have never failed to learn something useful from one of his books, and there is new and useful information in this book. That said, this book disappointed me. There were often 3 skills to a page, which doesn't permit much explanation. Some of the skills, such as most of the knots, had no illustrations, but referenced an on line video. Videos are great as additional enhancements, but when I buy a hard copy book, I expect it to be able to stand alone. Some of the skills needed an illustration or photo but didn't have either. Some of the 365 skills are duplicates of those published in his Survival Hacks book. With Creek's immense experience and skill set, I expected all new material, with enough explanation and illustration to convey the information well. I'm disappointed but still a fan, and would still buy the book.

Kind of a Re-hash, but fairly good anyway
If you already have some of Creek's books, this may feel a little bit like a re-hash. The book is good overall, but a book that mentions quite a few knots should include how to tie them instead of "look at this webpage". Each of the 365 skills is a good skill to know, but the skills jump all over the place instead of being grouped together by subject. This is partly by design since the skills are grouped by season.I like the other Creek Stewart books that I own, but this one is somewhat disappointing.

Not terrible but I expected more
There is a lot of good information in this book but it suffers in two main areas. First, it directs to the web for too many details. For that reason, I probably won't be taking it to my bug out location. I will be lucky enough just to have a generator and some sort of lighting. In a grid down scenario I'm not likely to have internet. In fact I seriously doubt anyone will. Secondly, the photos and plant descriptions are not very good and they really need to be in color.

Uses you'd never think of for things.
Very interesting ideas for everyday things. Makes you think about what's on hand that could be useful. Though Creek's show should remind people to take a handheld radio with them (VHF band) yes the park rangers, cops, and fire rescue still use them. Cellphones have not overtaken everything. Yay! Radios seem like they aren't ever mentioned anymore.

Still a useful reference, buy it.
A typical C. Stewart book. Full of useful information. One HUGE problem is the constant referrals to go on- line and watch the video for the rest of the informationyou need to know about the topic being discussed. I buy a book because it should have ALL the information I need in the book.

Too much video reference.
I'm a fan of Creek's books, but I was a little disappointed wiith this one. Several of the skills have just a brief narrative about why it's important, and then refer you to a video to learn how to do it. When I'm reading, I want to read. The video should be a supplement to a written description and instruction. That being said, I still learned a few new things.

Good to have in your library as a instruction and reference book. I have several of Creek's books and enjoy them especially the book on the bug out vehicle.
