Hits higher than its price point!
If you're looking at this pickup you are probably not concerned with clean tone, though they don't sound bad at all clean. Volume is noticeably lower that my high end pickups. Its actually lower than the stock pickups in my Epi Les Paul. Dirty tone is probably what you're looking for. They sound great dirty! I don't play in anything lower than D and this is the tone i was looking for with this particular guitar. Stop procrastinating and buy them. You won't regret it.

Updated review - lots of heavy metal with a great range of tone
My initial order turned out to be a third party warehouse scam (review below). Upon getting it posted, a representative of Saphue contacted me immediately, researched the situation and informed me that the junk I've received had nothing to do with their products or company.A month later I've decided to give these invaders a shot. I really like these pickups. More power of heavy metal sound than I've expected. Has a definite voice of its own. Very distinct tone on all three positions. I've split coiled them for more fast note soloing accuracy, but it's very articulate in both single and humbucker format.Bottom line. If you want to play heavy metal and sound great doing so please get these.____________Initial review:Formerly a huge fan of Saphue, I was very excited to find these and was eager to try them. Sadly what I've received was a pair of rusty used humbuckers. Fortunately I have returned them the same day and got refunded. Still, very disappointed.

These things are HOT, and all midrange...
Listen -- these may not sound great at home at lower volume; I wasn't super impressed with them when I first installed them in a guitar build for a friend of mine. They did, however, look great and match the aesthetic of the guitar, so that was a big plus. Tonally at low volume, these pickups are dull as can be with muted highs and what seemed like an absurd amount of low end. However, when my friend used the guitar at his first gig, I was floored -- these pickups are really all midrange, and his guitar tone cut through the mix in a four-piece metal band like absolutely no other! He later switched to a far, far more expensive guitar to finish the set...and it didn't sound near as good as these did. It was quite surprising.Overall, these are quite decent pickups for heavy music styles and well worth the price in terms of construction, looks, and tone.

Good Quality and They Sound Great
Excellent build quality and they sound just as good as the name brand.I bought several sets!No off noises or unwanted sounds. Holds up well to distortion like it should, but sounds surprisingly good when clean.

Alot of bang for the buck!
I installed these very easily on a Hard Luck King Wild Bill. If you keep in mind the price, these are really good humbuckers. For the budget guitarist, you will love these good looking pickups. Plenty of bit for the price and the wiring diagrams are on the Amazon product pics. Straight forward to wire these up correctly. They will even do a split coil setup. They are no EMG or Dragonfires but for less than 20 bucks, great upgrade.

It’s a clone of the SD Invader but….
These look like the Seymour Duncan invader but do they sound like the Invader? Aesthetics are 10/10 all the way but how do they sound? Honestly the sound isn’t bad but a bit thin sounding using CTS 500k Pots. I also did the orange drop cap to help with treble bleed but it didn’t seem to do much. Coil split on my set were not noticeable so I don’t find that feature useful. I rated these at 3 stars based on these merits and due to the fact when they arrived, the mounting tabs were severely bent upwards making straightening and mounting a bit difficult. For the $20 or $30 they cost it’s not a terrible set of pickups for an old project or kit guitar.

Woah, ok
Threw these guys in my 20 something year old epiphone SG and am very impressed, I don’t like the natural sound of it, it’s a little muddy (could very well be because I installed it myself) but these sound amazing with high gain an distortion!
