Gripping Crime Thriller - A Must-Read!
I couldn't put down "Whispered Bones," the second book in the DI Fenella Sallow Crime Thriller series. From the very first page, I was hooked, and the tension just kept building. The author, with their brilliant storytelling, has created a complex and intriguing plot that had me guessing until the very end. DI Fenella Sallow is a fantastic protagonist - flawed yet relatable, making her investigation all the more compelling. The pacing of this thriller is spot on, with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. The writing is crisp and engaging, making it easy to lose yourself in the story. I found myself staying up late just to read one more chapter. If you love crime thrillers that are both thought-provoking and thrilling, "Whispered Bones" is a must-read. I can't wait for the next installment in the series. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the story and characters in this. A good read and a good few red herrings to throw us off.

Good read
I am enjoying this series., if I have any complaints it is that the first two could be shorter, it took 86. chapters for book two to get to the point on and for me it would have benefited from little trimming!

Whispered Bones - DI Fenella Sallow Book 2
A prostitute called Viv Gill is murdered in a village called St Bees. DI Fenella Sallow goes to the morgue to get feedback and her usually pathologist is on leave. The replacement pathologist thinks it is the work of escaped serial killers Henry Hamilton Perkins, nicknamed Mr Shred. The superintendent, Veronica Jeffery is forced from above to bring in a more experienced DI called Tom Moss who is old school and completely sexist. Jeffery brings in as consultant Joy Hall who is a psychologist at the gaol where Perkins was incarcerated. Joy suggests places where Perkins might strike again and Tom Moss sets up a trap using new Detective Beth Finn as bait. On the night in question Joy Hall is attacked and another woman is murdered. Jeffery sacks Moos, who the team really hate and puts Fenella in charge. The original pathologist returns from leave and tells Fenella that he doesn't think the killer is Perkins. There are quite few questionable characters in the village, such as the Vicker, the village PC Syd Hoon, and the village shop manager. All could be possible suspects, but it turns out to be someone totally unexpected.

Great read!
Enjoy this book very much. Plenty of suspicious characters, and lots of twists and turns. I honestly have no clue until it was revealed at the end, which is quite enjoyable. My wife recommended this series and now I’m gonna have to thank her!
