Important safety product buttttttt
Very cool idea and is very important to have, but could use some improvements for real. It is very challenging to fasten in place and remove slack and to make sure are not going to move. The hook doesn't necessarily keep the seat belt off your belly because it easily slips out, you must still pay attention and put back in place. I'm honestly going to try doing a redesign. Since I hold a class A cdl I'm confident I could design one that actually works as it should, without issue. I glanced down more than once to find the belt out from the hook and on my belly. I'm pregnant with twins and really wanted a bit less stress and worry. This reduced it but should have eliminated it in this one area at least. This device should improve safety by 100%, but it fails to do so. My estimation is it improves safety only by 50%. I will start doing YouTube videos on these products.I must add this.....the hook doesn't keep the lap portion of the belt in place. It easily slips out and I must constantly keep an eye on it so I'm actually protected. I started keeping one hand on it at all times just to be sure. Changed my review to match this hazardous experience.Note* these are unregulated items with no safety standards established. There's a better item but costs 175 and not available on Amazon so far or I haven't located here yet. It's called Tummy shield and there's a great YouTube video presentation on it by a real EMT who knows about safety. I'm an ex cdl driver with 18 years experience, some years of those with school bus and special needs students. I've dealt with all sorts of harnesses, wheelchair securements, etc so I'm also no novice in analyzing what's safe and what's not. Good luck fellow mamabears!!
