I gave this to my son who has a house on a public lake. His daughter had thrown 5 of his padlocks in the lake a couple of weeks before so I thought we could possibly find them. The magnet works great and we pulled up a lot of stuff, one piece so big that I could barely pull it up. It was even really rusty and covered with shells but the magnet did not let go. Unfortunately no padlocks. Make sure that use the threadlocker and let it set up for a day or two.

This magnet has pulled a kid fishing rod out of the water for me so I can’t complain but it is kinda heavy but it seems high quality. I think for what you pay it’s worth it for a starter in the sport.

I ordered this product for my nephew, and I think he’s going to absolutely love using it when we are out on the river together. I have no idea how great it works yet because we haven’t used it. But it looks awesome and feels like good quality. However, I did not receive the waterproof carrying case That it stated it was supposed to come with.

Now, I know gold and silver is not magnetic, But I’ve seen a documentary years ago about a guy who found a wooden box (w/*Iron corners) from one of the 1 of the 11 ships lost from Spanish Treasure ships 250 years ago. Hurricane Andrew came and whipped up the sea bottom and pushed the box with a $300K Emerald & loot inside close enough to where it washed up on shore by the tides. Not everything is going to wash up on shore, but I was doing my magnet 🧲 toss like crazy trying to find something. Though most of what I pulled in were just small Medal & meteorite fragments. You can make $100K+ off some meteorites.I know if I would have came close to anything it would’ve grabbed it and held onto it till it was in my hands. Love it! Checking the natural canals next time like I’ve watched on the Josh Gates show, Expedition Unknown.

Does what it's advertised to do. Never realized how dangerous our rental backyard was until pulling close to 2lbs of rusted, tetanus-happy, debris from the topsoil. Seriously, if you have pets, it's worth making sure your environment doesn't have any unpleasant surprises.

I received my kit and the "Srong locking carabiner" was not in the box. Frustrating that the advertised "MAGNET FISHING BUNDLE" was incomplete.

It's awesome but I would have been willing to pay more if it came with a good case.Don't put a coin in your mouth and put the magnet to your face.

YOU WILL NEED STRONG ROPE OR YOU MIGHT LOSE IT, BUT IT SURE PULLS.

So...this is a good magnet if you can put it on a flat object and keep it from sliding off the object. It has zero magnet in the sides where you need it most as the magnet drags on an angle. Just a waste of money
