I got the purple ones. I love the color. I bought these to wash my face with. I got the purple ones because everyone in the house knows they are mom's face wash cloths. They know better than to grab one to wipe something off of the floor, actually they should not touch them ever !I love how soft they are. I read many reviews, and I am always a bit skeptical, as I believe some are fake. Especially the ones that talk about how scratchy something is when 80% of the reviews comment on the softness. I do like how they soak up enough water to get the cleanser - or the sweat off of my face. But I can hang them on the little hook or towel rack in the shower, and they dry in no time. I dont want a wash cloth so thick and heavy it takes 2 days to dry.I will be buying more of these, and possibly some hand towels too. Those I am also picky about, they must be able to soak up the water when you dry your hands. I hate cheap towels that can not handle the one job I purchase them for. I also washed them as soon as they arrived and did not notice hardly any purple in the lint trap. The rest of the towels are mainly white. If they had given off a lot of lint, I would have noticed.

These towels are inexpensive. It's important to set your expectations knowing that.The good:- Color. Can't speak to chemical bleaching since I don't wear cosmetics, but the color has held through several washes. I bought pink and it is a vibrant soft blush tone that I absolutely love. There are so many color choices.- Absorbency. It's not the best I've ever used, but it does a good job of drying skin and it doesn't stay wet for long when hung up.- Softness. It is very soft. Think baby toy fabric soft.- Lint. The first two washes left a large amount of lint on the dryer screen, which I expected. I have not had any problems with lint shedding since, not on my skin or in the dryer.Not good:- Thickness. These towels are fairly thin. They're plush enough to feel nice and I'm not ashamed to use them as guest towels, but if you're used to luxury you'll be disappointed.- Durability. After a few washes, there are noticable broken loops dangling. This may or may not be an indicator of overall durability. I've had towels last years and never break another loop, and I've had towels unravel.Bottom line: The stitching tells me these probably won't last more than a year or so, but at this price, I won't be too upset. Maybe I'll switch colors every year. Set your expectations appropriately for a low end towel and you should be suitably impressed with these.

I am really pleased with the Amazon Basics jersey knit sheets that I have, so when we needed some towels I thought I would see if Amazon had some in their house brand.All of us (mom, husband and I) dislike hotel-style fluffy towels. We like ones that are a little bit scratchy- beach towels are better than plush towels. Plush towels aren't as absorbent and I always feel slimy after using them.These towels are kind of a strange hybrid. They are softer, but not super thick. They dry you off as well as a scratchy towel but they are softer to the touch. I bought 3 sets, so a total of 6 towels. Make sure you wash them and run them through the dryer before using them. The amount of dryer lint these created during their first wash was really impressive. Like a Tribble or something.The only minus is that the color options are kind of snooze-worthy. It isn't something I would deduct a star for, but I would much prefer some jewel tones instead of pastels. I don't buy towels too often, but if they came out with better colors, I would absolutely buy more.The size is perfect, they work well, and the price point is great.

This isn’t a big thirsty & thick towel. It’s a medium thickness. I really like it. It’s become my favorite.

Our 18-year-old towels started falling apart and I couldn't find that brand again. So I started with a set from a big box warehouse store, but the first time through the wash, a lot of threads pulled out, so I returned them. So I went to the other big box warehouse store and bought a set from them, and the same thing happened! First time through the wash and a lot of threads pulled out. I was reading this for a lot of brands from different stores. Ultimately that's how I decided in buying this brand, because it had good reviews and no one mentioned threads pulling out. So I bought a set of six in the Lakeland blue. I know from past experience that new towels shed a lot, so I washed and dried them twice. The first bad thing was I noticed some blue dye in the dryer, so to be safe I threw in a big load of old towels afterwards to wash and dry them. And even after doing that, I put in some brand new light blue sheets, and they ended up getting dye staining on them from the new towels! And these were brand new sheets, never used. So incredibly unhappy about this. I hope this doesn't happen every time I wash these towels. No threads pulled out, so that is the good thing. But my husband and I do not like these towels. Like someone else mentioned, they're almost too soft, like you're drying yourself off with a blanket. And they're not as absorbent as our 18-year-old towels either. And no, I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Also, even though I followed the directions of drying on medium heat, all the washcloths, hand towels, and bath towels shank on the edging by about an inch. They are soft, I'll give you that.

These towels are HUGE!! They’re so soft and the quality is great they absorb water really well too.
