7 year old boy proof!!!
The quality of these is great, so far they have been abused by my 7 year old daily at school for the last month and they still look like the day I gave them to him.As you can see I made a few adjustments to this lanyard to work for our needs. I needed something to hold noise reducing headphones for my son who is very triggered by background noise. He needs to use them at school, but they're pricey and I don't want to be replacing them! The issue I ran across when I started this project is that his are a circle (trust me, we've tried every kind but this style is the ONLY one that works for him and myself) and none of the holders I looked at are made to accommodate a circle. So I went with these because of their simple design (for customizing), good reviews, and cheap pricing. All in all I'm extremely satisfied with these holders! If you're interested in doing some similar or the same customization, keep reading and I'll lay out the steps I took. All you'll need is this lanyard, earplugs of choice, and super glue. (Seriously!!)First, you'll need to remove the silicone ends designed to slip over the tail of the air pods. These were held in place by some sort of a strong glue. It took a little tweaking but after a combination of twisting while pulling they ended up slipping out of the metal ends. See the last photo to show their design so you can visualize what you're doing. Once removed you can keep them or toss them, as they're of no use to my design I tucked them away in my craft drawer to potentially use on something else.Next you'll take the thin cord, one side at a time, and twist it while holding the metal end piece. This will release the glue from the cord. Be VERY careful to not pull it through the metal end, as then you'll be trying to fight to get it back through the thin hole. I didn't have an issue here, but just something for you to be aware of.After releasing the thin cord, the metal piece should easily slide along the cord up and down. Now, if you're using the same earplugs as myself you will need to get those out. Take the cord, slip it through the circle on the earplug, and then double back over and hold it there while you slide the metal end back down the cord. The opening is the PERFECT size to slide the end of the cord into it and hold the loop in place around the earplugs' circle design. From here I took some gel superglue and put it inside the metal end to hold it all together. Once dried I did a second coat of it to fill in any air gaps and harden the cord in place further.Voila! Perfect earplug holder for a very active boy! Hope this helps!!

Surprisingly helpful.
I struggle with my AirPods falling out at the most inopportune times. I was looking for some sort of clip but found these. When I wear wired headphones, they end up pulling down (painfully) on my ears after awhile. So far this setup hasn’t.I’ve been wearing them for both hiking and biking. I haven’t had to frequently retrieve my AirPods from the ground since starting to use them.I like the magnets too.I’m still looking for the perfect solution but these are a good start.

Nice, But Flawed
I ordered this for my husband, who tends to misplace the ones he has. He liked how comfortable they were around his neck, and the fact that the magnets are very strong. However, I returned this because the metal parts that are closest to his neck, were sharp and they scratched his neck. Maybe he just received a defective pair, but since I had to drive to a UPS drop-off store in order to return these for free, I didn't want to risk having to do the same thing again. If the one you get doesn't have any metal that scratches you, then you'll probably like them.

Love it....but....
Love this, but I went to order a second of these and they now are unavailable. Hope this is temporary since I would like to have four work and home.

air pod strap
do not like it as its too thin-it's actually a string - it gets tangled up in my hair and tangled in general I like the magnetic part but I simply am unable to use it as it created too many problems to use it
