Weaver Leather Poly Roper Reins

I have a shiba inu and ADHD so my dog needs to be attached to me anytime we’re out of the house; handheld leashes leave too much room for human error.I picked up a larger gauge version of this lead a year ago and have used it daily; it clips onto the rope perfectly and keeps a nice friction so it doesn’t skip off my waist.This rope is narrower and the clasp slides easily over the rope when doubles back to loop; there is little to no friction and it slips off my waist. I resolved this by tying a knot in the rope at the location it fits comfortable on my waist. This does leave less flexibility to use it sling style instead as the opening is too small to get my head and shoulder through.For my purpose the thicker rope works better but this one is very light and manageable for my tiny (16lb) dog. Scissor snaps are good quality and I’ve never had a problem with them. The attachment to the rope is also very solid. I have no concerns about my spooky escape artist leaving my side and I’m sure these leashes will be my go to for years to come.

I loved these reins a lot. I usually ride about 3-4 times a week on average, and these reins may have lasted me less than six months. I was out riding and the leather end piece snapped on me making my reins worthless. SO, if you purchase these, just be prepared to have to fix the leather ends when they break! Personally, I won’t buy these again because of the instability of the end piece. I would hate to be on a run away horse with no reins!

The make up of these seemed okay, but the actual rein was so thin. Felt more like a thin dog leash than horse reins.

Good product I have always used weaver gear. They are soft and clip on easily. Good purchase

Used these to ride bitless in a rope halter. Excellent product -feels good in the hands. They were heavier than expected but this proved to be an advantage as my pony was very responsive to the slightest touch on the reins. Very easy to attach to the halter but secure at the same time. Non slip when wet.

Beautiful and great quality. Just not long enough to allow my 15.2 hand high paint to stretch out her neck out while trail ridding without me having to stretch out my arm uncomfortably far out. Would deff recommend 10 ft or more if ur looking for a longer rein

Love these reins. Soft and strong. I love the scissor snaps for a quick change from halter riding to bridle.
