Barclay James Harvest Every Album, Every Song (On Track )

Another great addition to the On Track series
I have bought quite a few On Track volumes and have found most of them excellent. This addition, on Barclay James Harvest, is no exception. Written by a couple that have curated the BJH website, its 128 pages cover a lot of ground succinctly: the 17 studio albums between 1970-97 (with comments on each track), as well as brief coverage of the BJH live albums and solo works. As someone who bought several BJH albums in the mid- to late-1970s and has seen John Lees' BJH in concert a few years back, it is interesting to find out more about earlier and later albums I have missed - to explore them on Spotify and possible add to my collection. It is also interesting that BJH proved to be much more popular (in the 1980s) in Germany and continental Europe than in the UK, where some termed them the Poor Man's Moody Blues.

This is the BJH book I have been waiting for!
What can I say? This is the BJH book I have been waiting for! Having been a fan since 1970/ 1971 I have finally discovered in this volume those missing details and snippets of information that I have wondered about over the years. Great book, and thanks to Keith and Monika Domone for producing such a marvellous addition to the BJH library.

A very informative book for the average BJH fan
Just like their website, this book is a very useful resource when looking up albums etc. Keith and Monika Domone have updated a lot of information and having such a reference book handy is often easier then turning on the computer/tablet (yes, I know, the effort involved...!)The only thing missing are the lyrics, as the albums sleeves don't always have them, but I'm sure copyright payments had something to do with that as they (Sonicbond, the publishers, plus the Domones) wanted to keep the book affordable.

One For The Enthusiast
I have been a BJH fan since the early 1970s and Once Again is my favourite album of all time. It is a joy to have a well researched and written book giving details of every song recorded by the band along with details of albums and much more. One for the real enthusiasts and lovers of this band.

An amazing insight into one of Rock's Greatest Bands...
Such a breath of fresh air to be able to read about all those beautiful BJH songs and find out the stories and sometimes the meaning behind them. For example I was always intrigued by the "Great 1974 Mining Disaster" song & "Titles". I highly recommend this book to anyone who is aware of BJH & the impact they have had musically... A Well researched book that only someone close to the band would have access to.
