Awesome finding a cheap welder that does a good job
So it does weld nice beads. Its a neat little machine that it can do MIG and Stick. It comes with a make-shift hand-held welding mask (I recommend buying a good one). The only other thing to keep in mind is that the leads are pretty short, you can make it work. I am able to set the machine on the ground and still weld on my welding table. Overall very happy and I would recommend this product to my buddies.

Good welder
I've had this welder for almost a year doing light projects. Now I'm working on a project with 5/16 mild steel and 3/8 cast steel. Not cast iron but cast steel just to be clear. This welder did a fantastic job mating the two pieces together and after beating on the assembly with a 3 lb sledge I can say nothing happened. Other than popping my 20amp breaker. Very good welder

Great purchase, could use documentation.
First, I love this thing. I'm a welding n00b. Did my first ever bits today. Had no idea how to set up my new machine, how to connect what to what, how to feed a flux capacitor, nor the difference between .8mm vs 1mm nor anything about gasses. So I youtubed. There was enough content of other migs to get an idea of what to try, plus this page had enough connector documentation on getting it started. Who knew to complete the circuit I had to connect the jumper cable to the same metal? Who knew I needed to replace the .8mm tip with the 1mm tip that came with it? Who new, who new? Well, more experienced non-n00bs, for sure. My 8 yr old asked me after I was done "Why does it look like gravel?" Rather than make up some dumb response, I told him the truth... "Well, it was my first ever weld, it was a little scary with so many sparks, I haven't figured out my helmet yet, but the weld is strong and holding, and I can use my new grinder to smooth it down a little." He got what I was saying, and more so appreciated that we had a mower deck that was no longer dragging ass.

Amazing deal
I have to say that I was amazed at the performance of the Silvel welder, it was way beyond what I expected for the price. It was very easy to use for welding my exhaust back on my vehicle after some one stole my catalytic Converters off my Expedition. Not to mention its 3 welders in one!!! I would highly recommend this to anyoneneeding a handy little welder. Way to go Amazon!!

Get smaller diameter wire !!!!!!
This thing comes with wire that is way too stiff, your gonna have to wrench down the motor wheel and run about 12ft of wire out of the thing before you can use it, partly because of the stiff fat wire, partly because the feed into the motor really isn’t in line with a full wheel of wire. The wire wheel should’ve been further back from the motor wheels, I may adjust it. Or just get thinner more flexible wire. It has the thinner tip installed on it so you’ll need to change that before feeding the fat wire. I welds pretty good on the 110v setting, definitely decent for the price. Just get the warranty, I see motor wheels having some real wear with the alignment and wire issues. It comes with some child’s Halloween style flat mask that folds into something of a mask with a slot for the lens. It’s good to laugh at but you prob should grab a hood if you don’t already have one.Other than that, it’s lightweight, cheap, welds pretty good on 1/4 inch steel for sure. Prob do thicker with a bevel with little issue. Once it welds it’s smooth. The trigger is pretty cheap, might have to upgrade that somehow too. But there is plenty of power surprisingly to have a smooth sounding weld with 110v, you can tell the tech has gotten better from 10 yrs ago. I’m ok with the purchase for sure.

I’m liking it
This was the best deal that I could find. It’s got a gas line for mig welding. Gasless welding works and the arc welding and tig welding still have yet to be tried, just got to geet the tig kit and some welding rods.
