All of our insects are hand raised or from sustainable sources such as butterfly farms and aviaries. People in third world countries are cutting down the forest to plant mass crops, which are more profitable than what the natural land provides. Misrepresented in the photo. It appeared to be a 7inch by 11inch framed item, but when we received it was approximately 3 inch square box. Not at all what it was made out to be. We ordered another framed butterfly mounting at the same time and it was cheaply made and the frame was broken. Will never order from this company again and would encourage others to avoid as well. Very deceptive and shady!!

Update: i bought the product may 2022 an the butterfly meanwhile started to mold inside the frame.I wouldn't recommend buying it , it's unfortunate because I did like him.The butterfly itself is pretty. I don't like the way its displayed. It's not pinned, it lays on a foam/spongy material. The Frame is not really beautiful, it's more like a cardboard box . I use it in school in ecology class , so it is good enough for that.
