Suprisingly good!
I have never had a pair before, so didn't know what to expect. Turns out I love 'em! It's nice to give my ear canals a break from plugs and pods. I also like that I can hear everything going on around me. It's funny because you think/feel like everyone should be able to hear what you're hearing too, but they can't! When my husband tried them, he talked really loudly, just like someone who has their ears covered with headphones, the goof.At first, the volume seemed too low. I discovered that adjusting how they sit on my head/around my ears affects the area of vibration and therefore the volume. It made a BIG difference!I guess it's the vibration that causes the lower battery life/time. I don't think I'm getting 8 hours, more like 6. The charging attachment is magnetic and fairly sensitive to disruption. I attach the magnet, set the headphones down and the charging light turns off, meaning it has been ever so slightly dislodged from its sweet spot. On more than one occasion I thought I was charging when in actuality I wasn't. I have learned to set the headphones down in a 'charger accessible' position, then attach the magnetic charger, and finally, wait a couple of seconds before walking away to be sure the cord doesn't come to rest in a way that causes the magnet to disengage a tiny bit.Did I tell you I love them? I do. Glad I bought them!

Great Value!
Compared to the high price of similar bone conducting headphones, I felt I received a great value purchasing this item at a significantly lower cost. After reading the instruction manual (takes less than a couple minutes), I was successfully (and easily) using the bone conducting headphones. Here are some neat features: The design is sleek and modern. While music plays, a green, lit ring displays near the ear ports. After connecting my phone's Bluetooth to the headphones, I found I can distance myself across the house from my phone with music still playing/connected. While the headphones rest in front of the ears on the bone, and not inside the ear, ear plugs are included for noise cancellation. However, I find that one of the points to these particular headphones is its capability to allow a person to listen to music/podcasts, etc. while being aware of his/her environment. This is important for runners/joggers, while in the gym, hiking, driving, etc. I haven't yet run out of battery life and charging is simple and fairly quick. Bonus -- it comes with two charging cables! The headphones are also waterproof, but I have yet to test this. Here are a couple suggestions for improvement: It takes a few moments to get the headphones fit comfortably around the head and ears. The back band seemed to slide downward quite often. I have yet to exercise wearing these, so I cannot attest to how well they remain in-place during a vigorous workout. I would suggest a way to adjust the size/band around the back of one's head for more of a snug fit. Also, just forewarning, if you like to listen to your music loudly, the vibrations will shake your head up a bit right on the bone. After a little trial and error, you'll find a comfortable listening volume.Overall, I would recommend this item for a first pair of bone conducting headphones. It's an innovative way to experience sound.

Good concept, good value
I like the idea of bone conduction headphones specifically because I want to be able to leave them in place and carry on a conversation when needed. With my other traditional wireless headphones, the snug fit in my ear means they act like earplugs when I pause my audio. I have had some luck with allowing audio pass-through, but it's not the same as an unobstructed ear. These are comfortable, I have worn them for long stints (4+ hours) and a couple of times all day at work without (A) running out of battery and (B) needing to take them off due to soreness or discomfort. With some of my favorite bluetooth headphones, I need to take them off to charge or because I am getting a headache or both, but not with these. They are very affordable, ~$40 and half the price of other headphone I'm using. I am grading them with the price point in mind, because the audio is not perfect - in fairness it couldn't be based on the technology. I found myself enjoying conversations and audio books with these headphones, but I would use my traditional headphones for music. All in all, these are another tool in my toolkit and they are in my rotation among other headphones that may be less comfortable / convenient but offer a better music experience.
