Might be magnetic if you use it to paint cast iron.
This paint-like goo comes out of the can like tar. At the suggested two coats it was not magnetic at all. At six coats it will hold a lightweight rubber magnet like you get from a tourist gift shop. Just the magnet, not even a single sheet of paper with it. So...technically magnetic, not usefully so.

Perfect for DIY project
I use this product to make a chalkboard/magnetile Wall for my daughter and her playroom and it works great. It does go on a little thick, but it dries very smooth. It is a small contain, but a little bit goes along way.

Weakly magnetic, takes a LOT
This stuff is alright, but the magnetic surface is *very* weak. The letter magnets in the photo barely stick. Also, it takes MANY layers for it to work at all. It took the entire can of paint on this door to make it magnetic enough to hold these magnets at all. Would not be likely to hold papers magneted to the surface. I covered it in a later of chalkboard paink so my kids could color it (one layer and it didn't affect the magnetism).

Magnetic paint failed to magnetize and was delivered HOT, end of day; label says not to store hot
Should be zero stars. This Magnetic paint was delivered hot at the end of the day, so it was stored hot my the driver. The label says not to store at 90 degrees or higher. After painting on item, it can't hold a light magnet so it is not magnetic and I wasted my money on this. I was surprising my niece on her way to college with new roommates by painting them a large magnetic chalkboard for their apartment. I have failed myself and the gift is not what I intended it be. This paint was expensive and added to the price of the personalized gift and failed in performing what it was intended to do.

Worked better than expected
The media could not be loaded. I made an anime plush with earth magnets (very strong magnets) in the hands. I needed the plush to hold a weapon. The paint wasnt lumpy or dry — its the consistency of acrylic paint. Went on smooth and was a rich black. After coats it was already easily working. Keep in mind I was using a rare earth magnet. If you’re painting a wall and want magnets to stick to it, I recommend rare earth magnets. They are amazing!

not stron,
After 3 coats it wasn't really strong so I Ordered the strong yield and put 2 more coats on my wall and this was before I painted it with the chalk paint. It Will hold small magnets but not heavy or multiple pieces of paper. If you are looking to do a strong magnetic hold this isn't it. Also i ordered the quart and had to send the second can back because it was tdried out.

Very thick and once dry, not magnetic
I thought this would be wonderful to turn a closet door into a bulletin board for my classroom however; after painting the door with 2 coats, the pain is not magnetic. Very disappointing. The pain was also a think gel like consistencey.

Better than meh, not as good as ok. Disappointing.
It's holding up thin magnets, but I cannot add a single sheet of loose-leaf paper behind a magnet or it won't hold. Most of my other magnets won't hold. I saw someone say they used the super-strong magnets, but I don't feel like buying new magnets to change out the ones I already have. I added 6 layers, and don't have any more paint to add more layers. Perhaps a few more coats might do the trick but I don't feel like re-buying it and reapplying more layers every hour.
