Bought in early March. Setup was easy. Had to let charge first before using. App setup was pretty easy. Halo Auto Vac learns your home and creates a map. Works with Alexa. Goes around obstacles very well. Docks itself and the best part is the docking station has a vacuum bag inside and once the Autovac docks itself it auto sucks the dirt from the Vac into the base's vacuum bag. That is a super awesome feature!!Carpet is always fluffy when a cycle is complete. All florrs are always super clean. I set a schedule in the app and it comes on as scheduled daily. I am a busy mom and WFH and I can run the AutoVac while I WFH. It has saved me so much time. It has a mopping feature, but I have not yet used it.

Really really tried to like this item. Returned the first one. But had high hopes for its replacement. When I first started, it does very well! It maps out the house. It does the job. If you have an electrical outage, or a Wi-Fi stoppage for a short period of time, it will not work at all. After resetting it, it does not recognize a partial map which is all that is left. It insists on going into rooms that you did not request. You must constantly monitor it. It is one of those things that work when they work and then don’t. I am not going to try for a third time.UPDATEAbsolutely worthless. Period the only consistency is every few days it just will not start. Do you have to start over from the beginning. It is going in the trash. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

The media could not be loaded.  This is my first time owning a robot cleaner. Here are my honest thoughts about iHome robot cleaning machine below,* Multiple floors house?-> I let the machine to run ‘Auto clean’ first for each floors. Then I choose - current map - change map - change the floor map that you want to clean - start cleaning.* Multiple materials on your floor? Ex) wood, tile, carpet floors-> Tiles, wood floors work best. Carpet floors also work. But, not as effective as regular cleaner.* How’s mopping?-> I realized that mopping could be massy. But, quite effective for wood and tile floors. The key is make sure you add the water + mopping tool last. Separate and dump, clean the mop right after cleaning is done.Tip: I add small amount of cleaning soap or your can add a few drops of essential oils.The water will drop directly to the mop so it won’t clog pipes or anything at least for me!* Dog and lots of plants?-> Our doesn’t mind the vacuum cleaner. Also, the machine will recognize an object, the machine will go around. I have many plants. I was worried about the machine hurting or damaging my plant stands etc. but, again the machine will go around if it detects objects.Conclusions,The machine works well with our multiple floors with carpet, wood, tile floors. Also, the mop cleans well on wood, tile floors as well. It seems to be good at pulling and cleaning dog hairs on carpet too. Make sure you are around when the machine is working at least for a few cleaning especially when you’re cleaning with mopping option.

Vacuum has been working very well until a year later it just shuts down randomly during a clean. Reached out to iHome and they fixed the robot no charge!

My husband got me this for Christmas 2022. It worked great for about 6 months then after a year of use, it has had some technical issues. It randomly chimes throughout the day without being used. The suction isn’t as great as it use to be and I have maintained the parts and accessories. The mapping sucks now. And some days I have to keep resetting the vacuum. I will turn the robot on and then it will go forward a few seconds and stop and turn off. I have never used the mopping part.

This is one of the best investments we have made for our house. Now I can watch TV or do anything else while the house is cleaned.

I purchased this for upkeep purposes. I still deep vacuum every couple weeks. I have only owned it for about 2 months. About every 2 weeks it completely stops working. It loses the data connection and it won’t do anything!! I have to completely remove/forget the device and start from scratch!!! It also only works with 2G, not 5G. I will definitely be replacing this with a better product!!! Don’t waste your time and money!!!

Update: after 3 months I am less impressed. It keeps losing the map and having to scan the house again. We have also had a few times we have had to do hard resets because it will get stuck on or won't turn on. I would go with another brand next time.I have 2 dogs, Husky and Labrador. The Halo seems to pick up the hair okay, but when in docks and trys to empty it clogs the station everytime.I just pull the hair clups out and then let it dock again. Also the hair gets stuck on the brush and brush casing. I have to clean it after every run.It's still better than doing it myself but not as hands free as I would like.
