hard to maneuver
the woven sheath gives the hose great protection however, this also makes the hose hard to coil or uncoil. it does want to kink a lot when not under pressure. the kinks seem to cause a memory to the metal weave and it continues to kink. under water pressure it resists kinking but difficult to coil under pressure.

Rough surface
It's pretty light, but don't run your hand along the surface as you might get stuck by small pieces of metal.

Dog won't chew this hose!
Our dog thought she was so smart that she could find water in a hose! We've had issues with squirrels or rats chewing through hoses. I'm trying both coiled steel and this braided steel hose. This hose seems to pick up kinks. Overall I think I will stick with the coiled steel hoses.
