Thule Tepui Annex for Kukenam Rooftop Tent

First off, the material, zippers, and stitching are all excellent quality that you would expect from Tepui. No complaints about the annex for quality...and the price was good considering the price I paid for the rest of the tent.My issues are that the annex is not quite tall enough (my tent is mounted on a rack on top of my lifted jeep wrangler). So i have a gap of 4 inches from the bottom of the annex to the ground. I tried to use the stakes and straps to pull the walls out to increase the interior size, but the stakes are fairly low quality and bend easy. If you manage to get them into the ground they pull loose if you accidently breathe on them. So, i would recommend buying some decent tent stakes...I use the Orange Screw brand with my other tents and will likely get a set for this one too.

Let make this clear you need to own a Kukenam Tent for this to work. It only attaches to a Kukenam Explorer tent and not the Ruggedized version. The Kukenam was originally not called the Kukenam and not called the Explorer either but it will work on all of those older models. I have an original Tepui tent from 2013 and it works great even if it's not the camo pattern of the tent, oh well.To install you do have to remove the ladder and install the zipper to the bottom of the tent. I have found it works to not remove the tent cover and just use the zipper on 3 walls. This leaves the back wall hanging a little but it worked fine. Maybe If I was basecamping for several days I would install it correctly.

Nice tents once it’s mounted. Makes sure you have a plan for mounting and then removing from you rig.
