Pro Track Almond Finish Pin-up Spotlight with LED Bulb

Met all expectations!

Gives the ambience I was looking for. Floor on/off switch perfect for easy use. No bending if it’s on the floor.

These spot lights are inexpensive, made in China, and you get what you pay for...The light socket is connected to the mains wiring by two wires soldered to terminalson the socket. These wires are not subject to any twisting or tension when thelamp is moved up or down or twisted (that is good). However, in at least one of the lampsI received, one wire was loose and not soldered to the terminal on the socket (so thelamp did not work); the other wire was attached to the terminal but not properly soldered.The loose wire was hazardous and could have easily been touched by a person inserting abulb or the wire could have touched the side of the lamp - metal, and not earthed. Thelack of electrical safety is perhaps more of a reflection of poor electrical safetystandards in the USA rather than the evident low manufacturing quality control. I also note that thelamp, as sold, comes with a cord and switch of stunningly poor quality and design. Interestingly,it seems hard to buy good safe lamp switches (or plugs) for domestic use in the USA (I buy myswitches in Europe).I purchased these lamps to use them as fixed spotlights in a garage. I had thenecessary equipment to fix the problems and have removed the switches. The lamps are, however,sold as being suitable for attachment to a wall (hooked onto a screw) or to sit on aa flat surface. In my opinion they are not fit for purpose - for reasons of electricalsafety. However, they are definitely reasonable value for money as long as you are capableof fixing problems resulting from poor workmanship.

I had a dark corner in my renovated beach condo. Looks fabulous! I wanted to put an uplight on my bamboo tree to compliment my lighted display cabinet. Love the look. Gorgeous.

This item was just what I expected from it's description and will work excellently for my purpose.However, a significant issue is that a large 1" x 4" WHITE label is affixed to the exterior of the light! This is very visible, especially on the black finish (but would be an ugly blemish on white or silver, as well).To make matters worse, this is a permanent-style label with non-removable adhesive and a light weight paper stock. It's the kind of inventory control labels which is purposely fabricated to be hard to remove! (An identical label is applied to the individual package.)To remove this label is a time consuming task involving solvents, etc.So what should be an incidental consideration has been turned into a major project by using a permanent label in a prominent location. Either the label should be located somewhere hidden, such as the underside of the base, or a removable product should be used!One star deducted from a five star item due to a careless and avoidable finishing error!

I Purchased 6 of these with 6 of the following smart bulbs : iHoan X WIFI APP-enabled Smart LED Light Bulbs, Multi-color, no hub required, work with amazon alexa, 60-Watt Equivalent (silver) 2PCS They worked out great. I think a opportunity was missed in how the round plate was affixed to the bracket. They riveted it so it would spin. There is a hole on the back of the plate to wall mount it. For my situation i was able to set them into the corners of my basements drop ceiling and run the cords up. Cant say I have preference to the floor switch on the cord. Clicks on and off just find. I would have rather that the round part was screwed on so I could take it off or leave it on.If your looking for a few accent lights with out turning into a whole recessed ceiling project these are a great affordable buy.

I ordered this in sort of a hurry, and did not read much about it. I wanted it for a Philips LED light with the remote control that changes colors. I figured I'd just place this on the floor. When I received it, it was actually a bit nicer than I thought it would be; I was pleasantly surprised to find a mounting hole on the base, and that I could basically point the light where I want it and tighten the screws and it would stay that way. After one evening with it placed on a desk, I noticed I had difficulties with the remote control aiming directly at the light bulb inside, so I went a head and mounted it on the wall: PERFECT! My wife and I both enjoy the ambience it provides when we are at our home away from home.

When the lights were working, they looked great...size and light was good. I wasn't a fan of how it turned off and on (had to reach behind plant each time and roll the switch) and after a couple of months of use, each switch broke. After the first one broke, I began using the second one and chalked it up to random breakage but now the second one has done the exact same thing. There is no traffic behind this plant - no dogs, kids, etc could step on it - so it seems that just the mere turning of the switch caused part of it to crack off and lose the electrical connection, and therefore become unusable. I have thrown both of them away and will purchase another brand to replace them.
