Q: Any Mini owners confirm the track +/- buttons on the steering wheel work to change songs?

I have a 2012 Mini and this does NOT work. No usb port to provide power.

Q: 2012 mini cooper - when i plug iphone into the usb, it tells me that the "cable is not supported" - wondering if this product resolves that?

You plug this unit into the USB and the AUX inputs under your Mini dashboard. You then connect your iPhone wirelessly to the unit, and play Bluetooth audio through the Mini speakers via the Mini's AUX input. You control the music (except volume) on your phone, not your car stereo.
