PlayMonster Lauri Photo Language Cards - Go-Togethers

These are so perfect for working on speech therapy at home. Specifically expanding vocabulary. I think we have all the card sets and they're very durable, which is great because she usually always takes a couple cards with her to continue playing. I love that the images are of real life objects and not cartoon images. I'm able to say "oh no, the puppy {woof woof} is hungry! Can you find his bowl?"

This was purchased for my toddler as a gift. The pictures are bright and realistic which I can truly appreciate and the card-stock is good quality (sturdy). My daughter has used it several times. The only thing that would have been nice was to print the item name on the back of the card so one could use it both for visual and reading/word identification learning. Only a suggestion.... I wrote the words on the back of the card and it seems to help my daughter and increase her vocabulary.

I can understand the other reviewer's disappointment in not getting what she though she was purchasing but I have to disagree with her conclusions. Having each item pictured on a separate card makes these flashcards much more flexible. You can ask your child to match the items that go together or just go through the cards one at a time and have your child name them. You can even make up simple go fish and memory games. While these cards clearly have educational value, the pictures are so attractive I have found that my toddlers and preschoolers simply like looking at them. I keep them in my diaper bag for quick impromptu activities while in waiting rooms.

I love these cards! I bought this set in addition to the "Opposites" and "Categories" card sets and they are my new favorite product. Large cards (5 1/2" x 6") to catch the kiddos attention and made of a durable material. My favorite part are the cute cases that each set comes inside of. I will definitely be buying the other sets offered by Lauri Language Cards!

Plentiful pairs to go around, eye-catching pictures. My 26 month old loved it immediately. The only complaint is that the orientation of the pictures are not in the same direction. As the cards are not squarish, I end up with different sized rectangular cards when I try to align them. To elaborate further, if I had stuck to a single rectangular shape for all cards, I may end up with a sand bucket that lies on its side instead of the right way up.

These category cards are great for my toddler. I loved the clear photos and durability of each card. I wished they utilized both sides of the cards.

The cards are good quality but the actual photos are dated and would be more appealing to kids if they were updated.

These are great for the size, real pictures, and paper quality. Some of the matches aren't especially relevant (e.g. xylophone and drumming sticks). I don't know that I would put a beach ball with a bucket/shovel. Chalk and chalkboard is kind of obscure for most kids in 2014. Great price and good quality. These will last several years. Overall, I'd recommend these.
