I purchased this lamp post to help light the driveway entrance. It's installed 2' off the edge and in the high setting and doesn't help whatsoever. It's very dim and doesn't last long enough. I've removed the bulb, and let it collect energy for 4 days- TWICE, no change. For the price, one should expect better. I have solar landscape lights that far outperform this lamp. The unit I received may be faulty since my experience doesn't match others'. I've requested an exchange. I'll update if my experience with that one differs.*Update 11/18/20- This is not a good option if you're looking to actually provide light in an area with no other light source. If you want 3-4 hours of supplemental light with an appealing aesthetic, this may be for you, though I'm sure there are less expensive options. FYI the low light mode is a joke. A very bad joke. The whole appeal to this light is replaceable parts and aesthetic but I ask what good is replacing parts on a lamp that doesn't achieve it's main purpose?

First off, this light looks GORGEOUS and I’m totally going to keep it...I live in Northern Idaho and we get decent sun, but on the sometimes cloudy days (and even on the brightest setting) it’s just not enough to sustain the light. Now, OF COURSE the description says it says it needs direct sunlight, and I KNEW that, but I so desperately wanted it work. 😆But I DID bank on there being SOME sort of reserves that would sustain it longer than it did. But I also knew I was taking a gamble, and I don’t fault the company for that.If you’re on the fence and in high hopes that MAYBE it’ll be ok with the sometimes cloudy days... be careful. Now, we also live on a dark highway where light is crucial. If you’re in town with street lights or other light is available and you don’t mind the varying levels of light, this light would be a great option for you!

A very nice addition to our walkway. It provides enough light by which to walk as you approach our front door steps. I'm not in any way a handyman but it was super easy to install, even for me. Special note, unless you're installing the post in concrete you must purchase the GAMA SONIC GS-3 EZ Ground Anchoring Kit for Single Head Lamp Posts which is sold separately. The separate purchase was a bummer. But the small anchors that come with the lamppost are not long enough to stabilize the weight of the post in the ground. The only down side, besides having to purchase the anchor separately, is that I was a little disappointed that it did not shine as brightly as I'd hoped. But I'm still glad I made the purchase. Its a very nice item for your lawn.

It’s nice. I’m female and installed it myself within a few hours. It was pretty simple. I purchased the ground anchor which works well. I live on the east coast and less than half mile from the Atlantic Ocean. The wind is very strong and it’s held up nicely. The key is to make sure you install the ground anchor in solid soil. If not, you’ll have issues. Also ensure the bolts that connect the pole to the anchor are secure and tight. Very happy with it and will get getting another one. Good luck!

I set it up and it was very attractive but didn't work. I turned it on and it was in full sun for 3 days and there was no light at all. I called the company and they said the lithium battery could be old and on the shelf too long. Very disappointing.

The weather finally broke long enough to install this lamppost. It's a good sturdy quality, especially when installed with the available anchor kit sold separately. The light is yellow; I don't know why because the bulb looks clear. We have it on the low setting and it turns on at dusk and stays on until dawn, but is really not strong enough to appreciably light the driveway, if that's what you need. .For me it's an attractive addition to a landscaped area that needed something. This certainly fills the bill.

I really love my new solar lamp post. After 18 years I finally had some long overdue fixing done to the front of the house. That included testing the electric going to the current lamp post--which determined was broken--I opted for solar so I didn't have to go through the problem of hiring an electrician. My lawn service guys handled the install without much trouble at all. The only thing I will caution you about is to select your brightness before attaching the top part of the lamp. I had to have the guys turn it on for me. No problems or issues. I have it on bright. I worried the street lamp that is right across from the lamp post might hinder the solar brightness, but it does not. Comes on at dusk and turns off at dawn. This nice lamp post just makes me so happy to come home.

This lamp post is stunning. Everyone who has seen it in my front garden, loves it! It was very easy to assemble and other than missing one screw, it was perfect. There are two settings for the brightness and I chose the lower one. It's plenty bright enough and lasts all night. I would totally buy this again.

well constructed, anchor system is excellent. I have it set on the low setting to conserve battery so the light is not all that bright but it looks really nice and I would recommend
