Attractive storage jars are air tight for dry goods
I bought a few of these jars and found that they are great at being air-tight for dry goods, so I purchased more to store all of my frequently-used baking supplies. They aren't the cheapest product, but they look very nice (like the look of the squarish jars with rounded off corners), and more importantly, they are functional. Brown sugar, which notoriously gets hard quickly, is still as soft as out of the bag for me 4 months later. I like that the jar lid is made of glass, with a metal band called a bail to hold it all together. Each jar comes with a gasket that sits between where the glass top and the glass jar fits together. I anticipate that the gaskets will need to be replaced over time. You'll need some space to store these jars because they don't stack on each other.I haven't tried these jars for canning - I stick to the Ball jars and use these for storage since these cost so much more than traditional canning jars. But more importantly, these bail type jars haven't been recommended for hot canning preservation for the past 30 years because there is no way to check that the seal is good on them. One thing I noticed is that the instructions say that if you're using for canning, to hand wash the seals without detergent. And if you do use them for canning, use a new rubber seal each time.I used Laser Waterslide Decal Paper Film-Free (A-Type) to attach labels to these jars. It was a fun and pretty simple project, but the decals did not want to bend well over the smallest size jar in this collection - took some effort. The only thing that is a negative for me beyond price is that I took the lid rings off to wash the jars (don't put them in the dishwasher or they will discolor) and after I took them apart for washing I don't feel that the bands are as sturdy afterward. They got a little bent taking apart and now on a few of the jars they will sometimes come apart when I open the lid, despite trying to bend them back into proper shape. I didn't know about it when I got them and wasn't particularly careful on the first few. Take your time to disassemble or leave them together to hand-wash and you'll be fine.Pros- Nice look of jars- Sturdy jars- Air-tight- High qualityCons- Costly- You shouldn't wash the bands, and be careful taking them apart (try to bend as little as possible)- Bands not dishwasher-safe- Not really recommended for canning - but perfect for dry goods storage- Jars can't stack on each other wellOverall, I really love these jars and have bought a bunch of them. I also have more Ball jars than a person should own but use them for canning and leftovers, while I prefer these Bormioli Fido jars for storing my dry baking goods .

LOVE these for pantry storage
My whole entire pantry is filled with these wonderful jars! The seals last on average of about a year with this application, but it depends on what I'm putting in. The salt always cracks after about 6-9 months, as does the yeast in the fridge, and some I've not replaced in over 2 years. The size of the opening is big enough for my hand and my husband's (though not at the same time!). I have a couple different sets of measuring cups and one set I can get even the full cup into, but the other I can only fit up to the 3/4 cup size. I bought some without handles that are narrower and deep that I can easily fit the 1 c size into, but it's easier with the handle to rotate it to get it out of the opening, rather than trying to fit my hand and handle-less cup through, so that didn't work out quite as planned. I love that they're made in Italy (not China, like all the others, which look and feel cheaper in hand), and the bails remove easily for running the glass through the dishwasher (I made the mistake of not taking them off at first and the dishwasher detergent oxidized the metal). These keep all of my bulk pantry and dry goods fresh for a long, long time and I'll keep buying more as needed as long as they're available!!

I love these jars
I love these jars, my pantry is full of them. I use them for all grains/flours/nuts/seeds/raisins (they're GREAT at keeping raisins moist and not dry and clumped together. Brown sugar is also great in them). They are airtight and keep the products fresh, yet easy to open/close, have nice sized openings which will accommodate my hand, spoons, or decent-sized scoops. It's also nice to easily see the contents, both for what's in each and also how much of something I have. They each came with a gasket. The good thing about this multi-pack is that if you find you want/need more of these, you will have an idea of the additional sizes you want, so if you find you would use the 33 3/4 oz jar more than a smaller, if you want, next time you can just order the 33 3/4 oz size. You'll still find uses for all the sized in this pack, but also get an idea for how much each holds for any future needs. I love them.

Excellent Jars
Excited to get these on time and intact. Saw some reviews where some were saying they were either missing a jar or they were broken due to poor packing. They came in a box as pictured and the box was wrapped in bubble wrap. I included a photo of one of the jars to show that it’s bottom was a little “off.” But that doesn’t bother me one bit. Just letting you know. Hooray for nice jars.
