Lovely and very practical bowl!

I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.This serving dish from Maxwell & Williams is designed in Australia. Given it is from a known brand I expected quality and it did not disappoint. It has a lovely rainforest foliage design made from stoneware. Stoneware is a type of fired ceramic and is considered to be more durable than earthenware because the clay is fired at a higher temperature. It came in a box and is well presented so it makes a nice present during house warming etc.I used it last Christmas dinner and received lots of compliments about it. The size is not too big nor too small. Because the serving dish itself has a lovely design it looks decorative and the colour kiwi made the table look more festive.This serving dish is microwavable and dishwasher safe. Looks well made and durable. Great value for money.Overall I am pleased with this serving dish. This beautifully designed serving dish, from Maxwell & Williams Panama range, completely captivates the rainforest foliage with its embossed leaf patterned surface on a leaf shaped bowl. Attractive, yes, but also a practical and robust stoneware dish which can be used for serving hot or cold foods such as pasta, salad, rice or vegetables and, in its kiwi green colour, suitably enhances any colour of foodstuff it carries. On the practical side, the dish is microwave and dishwasher safe, therefore entirely suitable for purpose.However, because it has such a lovely shape and surface texture, this bowl could also stand alone as a display piece in its own right. It comes well packaged in a beautiful personalised box and would make a great gift. At this price, I think it’s a good buy.
