You get what you pay for
I just received the AO Safety/3M Tekk 350-1001 EAR Earflex Foam Tip Semi-Insert Hearing Protectors I used to use these 5 years ago and most likely purchased them at one of the big box stores. I own my own contracting business so I see alot of different types of hearing protection and I always liked these the best, no string. I recall these being a little more beefed up and better made, more heavy duty but these are not. They are made of very soft plastic and I broke off one ear plug right off the bat. Fortunately there are 2 sets of extra foam plugs that are included in the bag. I think if these are used carefully they will last for light duty for a long time but wouldn't last on a construction site very long. I will spend more money next time and see if I can locate a pair that are heavier duty.

OK, but Allen is better
This is an okay hearing protector, but I bought it at the same time as the Allen Company Light Weight Low Profile Sound Sensor Hearing Protection, 2320 which costs about 5 dollars more, and I like the Allen better. The AOTekk is good because you can wear it a lot of ways. Because they are attached to each other, is difficult to twist up the second sponge to insert in your ear once one is already inserted. The first time I used it, a sponge broke off as I removed the headset. As mentioned, the Allen is much quieter - I wore both for about 2 hours in a Bobcat cab (very loud) and the difference was clear, the AOTekk was alright, the Allen was good. I wear the Allen over a cap - it stays on just fine that way. Buy the Allen, you won't be disappointed.

Comfortable and good hearing protection.
Comfortable to wear, and good hearing protection. Moveable joint makes them very comfortable as you move your head around. Only improvement would be the addition of replacement foam pieces. After a couple of weeks of use, both foam pieces snapped off at the base when inserting them into my cargo pants pocket.

My mistake
Ordering this was my bad. I wanted the whole system and got a lifetime supply of replacement foam tips. Order the part that holds the foam tips in place separately.

Earflex Hearing Protector review
Great product, great price. I've been using these for a while for basic hearing protection when using power tools, lawn & garden equipment, snow blower, etc. While they don't cut out as much noise as a full earmuff would, that's not their intent. The flex is great feature that lets me move the head band around yet still keep the plugs in my ears. Great when doing woodworking because they're easy-on/easy-off between saw cuts whereas an earmuff would be in the way. db

DON'T GET THIS - the stems break off on first use
A) DON'T GET THIS HEADBAND - GREAT CONCEPT BUT THE YELLOW BUDS HAVE STEMS WITH A (DELIBERATELY DESIGNED) WEAK POINT - THEY BREAK OFF DURING 1 USEB) REPLACEMENT BUDS COST LIKE $95 - BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BUY JUST A FEW - AND THE MANUFACTURER MADE SURE YOU WILL KEEP NEEDING NEW BUDS BECAUSE THEY DESIGNED THE STEM OUT OF A CRUMBLY MATERIAL SO THEY BREAK INTO PIECES AND THE BROKEN STEMS ARE LEFT STUCK INSIDE THE BASE AND YOU HAVE TO DIG EACH ONE OUT WITH A SAFETY PIN - THIS IS EVERY TIME YOUWHAT A HASSLE - DON'T GET THIS PRODUCCT

I like the idea of the hinged part
I like the idea of the hinged part, unfortunately after several pairs of these used daily, they tend to snap if stretched too far when putting on.

does what it is supposed to
Was as expected!Works very well for the type and money.Does what it supposed to do. Used for the high pitch of 2 stroke equipment without the weight.

effective but uncomfortable
These are extremely effective. I use them for studying in my less than quiet dorm room. They are wonderful, I can't hear a thing my roommate does, but they are pretty tight. They put pressure on my ears and are uncomfortable for long periods of time. Do not buy for studying.

Product doesn't stay in ears to make a good seal. So it doesn't block out the sound

Comfortable and Convenient
These definitely beat the traditional foam kind that you squeeze and place in your ear. I would recommend these to anyone for use when mowing or doing work in the shop. They are comfortable, easy to take on and off if needed, and actually do what they claim. Will definitely be purchasing more.

Can't find in the store
I had a pair of these and after several years they finaly died but I couldn't find anymore in the store. They are comfortable and work great, especially for my little ears. The kind you have to squeese and push into your ears just don't work for me.
