My 7 and 8 year old daughters LOVED this. I'd gotten this kit in addition to a fabric, more realistic kit, and I'd pick this kit over the fabric kit hands down every time!!**Note: The tape cutter needs to be used a certain way to be effective. My daughter found that you needed to slide the tab quickly to cut the tape, and if you didn't it wouldn't cut theI was skeptical at 1st that this would be a good fit, having bought just the mini fun tape rolls before & finding them lacking. I'm so glad I took a chance on this!Pros:1.) Safe!! No needles and the tape cutting device is made in a way that makes it impossible to fathom being injured by using it.2.) Kid friendly and easy to play with and use (see my note about the patterns)!!3.) 2 mannequins so kids can do it with a sibling or friend at the same time!4.) Not messy, especially if you used the cutter.5.) Comes with a tape cutter that made perfect cuts of tape safely(see my note in cons).6.) Tons of tape to choose from.7.) There are tape refills if you run out of tape so you don't need to buy a whole new kit!8.) Tape can be used for more then just the fashion designs, which my girls did.9.) Comes with patterns that you can copy if you want to use more then once. The patterns had lines that you could choose to follow to make your design, which took the guesswork out of how to begin. You can choose to follow the patterns, putting the tape in between the lines or you could choose to disregard the lines and place the tape in a different way. My kids loved having the guide to show them where to place each strip/letting them know the length of tape they needed. Designs turn out really cool (at least if you follow the patterns they do).Cons:1.) When using tape slicer/cutter my 8 yr old found out that you need to be move the tab quickly in order for it to work. If you do it slowly, it won't cut and can ruin that piece of tape. This wasn't a big issue though.2.) After you make your designs it's hard to get them off mannequins.3.) Would be better if you could use it on a real doll, like if they had some cloth to put over the patterns so you could actually use them afterwards. It could be a clear/see thru material so you could see the lines to place the tape.The pros far outweighed the cons, and I believe this would be a perfect gift for kids who like dolls, crafts, fashion, or designing stuff!! I do suggest if you have a clear or see through cloth that you place it over the patterns, but it's not necessary. All in all, DEFINITELY worth the price!!

I was expecting more of this set, when it was described as being able to make clothes that a Barbie-type doll could actually wear. However, it is simply attaching colored tape to paper. My 8 year old has a hard time following the patterns, and an even harder time getting the paper clothes on her dolls.

My daughter loves tape and fashion so this was perfect for her. I agree that scanning the patters and saving for future use is a good idea. Of course you have to destroy the outfit to get it off of the dress form but this has provided hours of fun. The tape selection is great and colorful. Lots of options for creating that one of a kind outfit!

My 9 year old daughter has played with this nearly every day for a month now. Make sure to trace the patterns so you never run out and pick up some extra rolls of patterned duct tape at your supermarket or craft store.

Great buy, lots of fun and comes with plenty of stuff. My daughter uses the busts for other doll dresses too.

My 7 year old received this as a gift for Christmas and loves it. She can do. This craft all by her self and has made many outfits for her dolls

product works great. the only thing is you have to cut the dresses off the model. We thought you could use the dresses on a barbie but can not. Once it is made thats it.

My girls didn't take much interest to this kit... they used the tape for other purposes... they enjoyed the paper dress from their other kit better. (fashion forms by klutz)
