I have loved soft boiled eggs since I was a kid. This is a very good set and I like that top popper. I’ve never had one before and it works. I prefer ceramic egg holders over stainless steel. Most of the time they work, but the diameter is a little big for some of the eggs I buy.

It works by luck, sometimes works perfectly and other times the whole egg gets shattered. The egg holder is large and only works for extra large eggs.

It works great! Egg cups and spoons are added bonus! The spoons are perfect size! Ordering a second set!

Makes the perfect soft boiled egg preparation. Espiecally the shell cracker. The little spoons make it perfect for eating out of shell in egg cup. Great product.

I was a little worried about this because of some of the reviews. The first time I used it I had a total mess on my hands. Then I did little research on how to use it. Had perfect soft boiled eggs for breakfast this morning. I took the eggs out of the cooker and placed them each in an egg cup. Then I placed the cutter on one and whacked it 3 times. Then, without removing the cutter, used a paring knife to cut straight across the egg. Removed the cutter, then removed the white part and placed it on top of the egg in the cutter. Did the same thing for the other egg. Worked like a charm!

I didn't think this method would work like its claimed to but it does, with one or two hits create a removable 'top' of a soft-boiled egg just as I hoped.The cup holders are made of thin material but easily strong enough for their intended use. All they do is hold the egg and they're many times stronger than they need be for that job.In several eggs breaks so far, the device has opened the egg without shattering the whole egg. The only issue I've had is the part of the eggshell left in the holder after scooping out the yolk/white gets stuck in the holder necessitating me breaking it up and pulling it out piece by piece. That's a tedious procedure.Without a doubt, this kit is a vast improvement over using a knife to open the egg. If the holder had some relief holes in it to prevent the eggshell from sticking, it'd be ideal.
