Great rest for the price
Great product for the price. Obviously it's incomparable to more high-end shooting rests, but if you're someone who doesn't care about the bells and whistles, then this is it.Pro: Price - I think this might be the cheapest rest available, anywhere (of course I did only look for about 10 minutes). Size - very portable. You unscrew and it separates into two pieces that you can shove into your range bag. Performance - Again, don't expect any bells and whistles. It holds the rifle steady and does it well.Cons: Caldwell's attempt at adding 'bells and whistles' to this particular model, i.e. elevation adjustments, was unfortunate. The adjustments, while they did work, were not good. Diddling around with the knobs, leaves your rifle lopsided and then once you think you've leveled it out, your scope is now aimed too high. I gave up and simply used the rest to set my rifle on, and then used things laying around (cardboard, rocks, etc.) to then elevate the rest. Worked perfectly, was able to zero my rifle in, no problemo.

This is the one you're looking for...
This is right as rain.., very sturdy and tight. Buy the Caldwell.., skip the cheaper knock-offs.

Simpel and effective
All together it's a straight forward rest, that can swing left to right nicely. The adjustment is ok .I wish a little better for the back .easey to put together and portable light for the price. It does the job a little modification if u to get more rear room.its soild and good with out plus good to clean on

Works great and it's a good value.
The plastic lever has a splined metal insert molded into it, the handle feels sturdy and doesn't bend or deflect when tightening. The screw that retains the spring & lever is a shoulder screw, it tightens into the hub with a hex wrench. You fully tighten it after choosing the appropriate hub and it allows for the travel against the spring for the lever to be retracted & indexed. Some generic machine tool levers have a screw that is fully threaded which are adjusted for enough handle travel to allow you disengage the handle. They can fall out if they get loose, the spring tension is all that retains them. This is better in that regard. There are no washers or spacers to deal with. The splined hub has all that taken into account so it is in a sense a one piece unit. The plastic lever itself has a curved sweep back and a circular point of contact giving you a good contact position for your thumb. And you can obviously quickly index the lever or move the lever up against the handguard out of the way so it doesn't snag anything when the bipod is in the stowed position. The enclosed extra hub fits Harris bipods, it's a simple matter of removing the 1/4" nut and the knurled knob from the Harris bipod and installing the hub and handle in it's place.

Caldwell Zeromax Shooting Rest
Well built, sturdy gun rest, and it works for most rifles. It does not have an easily adjustable rear height adjustment or adjustable gun butt rest. It has a good price point and if it fits your needs, it's a good value as a shooting rest, not as a sighting rest. If you are planning to use it with an AR style rifle, the grip may rest on the metal frame and there is no adjustment to mitigate this issue unless you make modifications or use a shooting bag.

You get what you paid for...and I am content with it.
All parts were in the box, easy to assemble, works great, I use it to mount scopes, but I don't shoot from it. Great price for what I need it for. Very happy with this purchase.
