I spend a couple of days scouring Amazon for a comfortable, soft, but quality and NOT TOO expensive duvet set for the summer, and I believe that I've found one.I'm actually pretty happy with this - the colour is nice, it was within my budget, it keeps me cool at night, and it doesn't run when you wash (though I have washed only once, with no other colours added. Photos are before washing but at the moment looks no different than before). It arrived pretty quickly and came in the usual bedding packaging that you'd expect.I will admit, however, I have absolutely no experience with Egyptian cotton so I cannot confirm if this is 100% genuine. All I know is that it's super soft, comfortable, there's no holes or loose threads, and that I didn't I have any issues when I slept in it the first night (I know you're supposed to wash before putting it on, but I was dying to get my fleece/king sized duvet off).It came with x2 pillow covers, hence the other x2 silk (good for your skin/hair, has anti-aging properties, etc.) pillow cases in the images, also from Amazon, a bed sheet which fitted easily over my mattress and the duvet cover itself, which fastens via studs, not buttons, like the description states.The description also says it comes with ties, but I'm not seeing any evidence of that - even though I'm not 100% what they'd look like/how they'd function. I've not had them on any bedding before.I bought a double which was paired with a 10.5 tog.In all, I will rate a total of 4* as it's a good product so far and I am happy, but the description isn't 100% truthful and I was looking forward to seeing how the corner elastic works. I have an issue with duvets slipping down and leaving a large portion of cover unfilled.(The photos look red, however, it's actually a burgundy colour, similar to boysenberry.)

They have popper studs NOT buttons (OK actually) and NO corner ties - I have to use my old stand by of shoelaces on each corner.THAT said, wash fine, but the colour is INTENSE - DO NOT wash with anything else.Quite comfy, I am used to cotton bedding (Night Glow, my time of life I think even with a bedroom fan).Wee bit stiff as the set is new, time will tell. I would believe they are 400 count - thin but firm hence the complaints from some other reviewers.UNLIKE mixed and artificial fibres, cotton IS rougher, just use a little more fabric conditioner if it is too bad.Equally it takes longer to wear thin, my last sheets lasted nearly 20 years!Not tried cool pads yet, we'll see.Fab with memory foam pillows - simple tuck in but decent enough depth so they STAY IN.Recommend.So good I got same brand different colour to alternate; may get a third for good measure.

For the money it’s a good quality set but after just a couple of warm washes the colour has started to fade a little which is annoying.

I like the generous value of this duvet bed set. (I've purchased 3 piece sets before and the annoyance of having no new sheet stopped me). Now buying these 4 piece sets, its quick to dress the bed completely. Of course I was so impressed by the smooth cotton, I bought extra pillowcases and pillows. This is my second set, I bought a 'butterscotch' colour one before. Would happily buy another set if only I could choose from all the colours!Happily recommended.

Love the colour! Love that it's 100% Egyptian Cotton. A good price for a good quality Duvet, sheet and pillowcase. I bought the single bed set.

Got a hole instantly in my pillow cover after washing the bed sheets for the first time. Rather than that, it’s ok cotton bed sheets for the price, bit too harsh on my skin but nothing unusual.
